The Reject Shop range going viral on social media revealed

A brand new range of ‘cottagecore’ home products from the surprise shop has sent social media into a frenzy.

Charlize Stella was a big fan of the collection, with social media users snapping up mushroom plates, soap, salt and pepper dispensers, candles, measuring spoons and mugs from the range.

A Victorian woman spotted them at her local store, The Reject Shop, on Monday night and advised her followers to “run, not walk”.

Fellow TikTok user @autumnmooncollective pointed out the store’s “cutest” shopping bags featuring foxes and owls.

Another social media user, @gloomom, said she bought some new cat dishes after finding “mushrooms and forest treats”.

Other users of social networks were incredibly excited about the offer.

“Reject Shop is in its killer age,” one social media user commented.

Another said: “Uh oh… I’m in trouble. I love anything with handcuffs on it.”

“I went today and the lady looked worried about how many mushrooms I had (I was also in a mushroom skirt),” joked one.

One added: “OMG I keep forgetting I have to go haha.”

Amy Eshuys, chief operating officer of The Reject Shop, said the retail giant didn’t follow short-term trends but saw something in cottagecore and the Woodland Forage collection was born.

“We created this collection specifically with last year’s Fairy Garden collection in mind – we saw an overwhelmingly positive response on social media from users who loved the ‘Cottagecore’ aesthetic. We wanted to create something that would build on that momentum and we’re really happy with what we released. We particularly liked the strawberry serving set and wanted to add mushroom tableware to complement it,” Ms Eshuys told

“Every month we bring new, unique home decor offers. We love that our customers can find something new every time they come to shop with us and mix new products with previous collections.

She said the response to the offer had been “very exciting”.
