Boxing champion Ryan Garcia arrested over felony hotel vandalism

Controversial boxer Ryan Garcia was arrested on Saturday for vandalism at a luxury Beverly Hills hotel, according to a report.

Garcia, 25, was spotted wearing a helmet when police escorted him outside the lobby of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel after the afternoon incident, according to TMZ.

The boxer was “taken by BHPD to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment and for all we know, he may be charged with public intoxication,” Garcia’s attorney said.

Under California law, damage over $400 is considered a felony.

The former interim WBC lightweight champion is also believed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, according to TMZ.

Garcia was taken out of the hotel calmly and without any problems.

Authorities were scheduled to examine Garcia on Wednesday after a family member expressed concern for the boxer’s well-being.

Police responded to the hotel early in the evening before determining that Garcia was fine and that no other crime had been committed, a law enforcement source told TMZ at the time.

Garcia was later seen on Rodeo Drive with his brother Sean, the outlet added.

Garcia, who boasts a 25-1 record, was at the center of another scandal after testing positive for PEDs prior to his victory over Devin Haney in April.

The tests were carried out by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association before the match, and the results were known only after the match, according to ESPN.

A week later, he was cleared of a possible positive test for the metabolite 19-norandrosterone after his B-sample was tested, Forbes reported.

In January, Garcia announced the birth of his first son before breaking the news that he and his supermodel wife were preparing to divorce.

“Praise the Lord. I’m so thankful, I love him so much already. He’s so fast already haha. He only took 8 minutes to arrive,” Garcia wrote along with a picture of baby Henry.

“As I enter a new chapter in my life, it is with a heavy heart that I announce that Drea and I have decided to separate,” Garcia said in a now-deleted Instagram post shared by TMZ.

A few months later, the boxer proposed to adult film star Savannah Bond on a private jet, but the engagement was called off soon after.

Garcia broke the news on the “BS w/ Jake Paul” podcast and confirmed that they had split.

Days after his April engagement to Bond was revealed, Garcia was seen holding hands with model Grace Boor on a Miami boardwalk, according to photos obtained by The Post.
