The new year is already upon us, with a new year to come E-sports, where almost every game announces new plans for the next exciting year for eSports. Recently Pokémon UNITE have announced their plans for 2023, which include new tournaments and the addition of new regions. The Pokémon UNITE Championship Series 2023 will start in February with monthly qualifiers for each area and will feature more than 1,000,000 USD in awards, with $500,000 award to World Cup which is supposed to take place in Yokohama, Japan.

Pokémon UNITE Championship Series 2023: Registration and Qualifications

Registration for the tournament

Players interested in participating can register for the tournament by following a few steps. All applications are made through Battlefy platform, where players are limited to playing in the regional zone in which they are permanent residents. Participating teams must reside in the same regional area. To help you register, we provide you with the steps to enter your team into the competition.

  • Visit the Battlefy registration page. Click on Register.
  • If you are not logged in, it will ask you to do so. Log in through your Email ID, Facebook, or any Social media.
  • It will bring you to the championship page. Provide yours player and personal data, create your own teamConnect with Discordcheck policies and Confirm.
  • One of the team can perform this procedure. The others can follow later.
  • When done, click on Back to the portal.
  • Find it My team option. You will find a link to an invitation to start copying. Allows up to four invitations.
  • Once the invitations have been sent, go to My tournaments. There you can find open tournaments where you can register your team to participate.
  • Confirm the order and you are ready!

Qualification procedure

Players from all available regions can participate in the qualification process. You can enter the championship in two ways:

  • Each region will host multiple qualifiers each month. Players will earn Championship Points (CP)according to their position after each month.
  • The teams with the most CP after the end of all tournaments will qualify for the World Championship. CP players can be retained so they can switch teams mid-season.

An Open Qualifier phase, similar to the February Cup, will be included in the monthly event. The top eight teams from the open qualifiers will advance to the monthly finals, which will take place one week after the open qualifiers. Players can also participate in the Aeos Cup, which will be held in March and will have more CP and prizes than the monthly tournaments.

Players, after building their teams, will compete in 5-on-5 using Pokémon UNITE’s custom tournament lobby. They can participate in open qualifying events, which will take place every month from February to June, without registration fee. Players will be able to participate using the Nintendo Switch, iOS or Android version of Pokémon UNITE.
