Last week, a trusted insider revealed one of the three expected April 2026 titles PlayStation Plus lineup. Now, with an official announcement expected this week, the same source has claimed it Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream will join Lords of the Fallen as part of next month's batch of free games available to all PlayStation Plus subscribers.
While the list of free games for PS Plus continues to grow, those who subscribe to the Extra or Premium levels of the service will have to part with at least two titles from the game catalog in April, and that number is expected to grow. At the time of writing, Sony has confirmed that both EA Sports PGA Tour and Lost Records: Bloom and Rage (tape 1 and 2) are leaving PS Plus next month. The good news is that they'll be replaced by some new additions on April 21st, but exactly what new games will be rotated into the service has yet to be confirmed.

Lords of the Fallen
Last week, insider Billbil-kun, who has been accurately releasing new PlayStation Plus titles for many years, claimed that Lords of the Fallen will be one of the free games coming to PS Plus in April 2026. Now, in an updated article on Dealabs, an insider said that Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream will be the second title added to the service. The official announcement is expected to take place on Wednesday, April 1st, with the two games expected to join the service on the first Tuesday of the month, which will be April 7th. Based on past months, there will likely be a third free game as part of the PS Plus Essential line-up, but as of this writing it has yet to leak.

If Billbil-kun is right again, that means PS Plus subscribers will have two RPGs to chew on next month. While Lords of the Fallen is a dark third-person action RPG with Soulslike combat, Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream is a multiplayer action RPG with hack-and-slash combat. Players can jump either solo or with up to 20 other players online, choosing from over 20 different characters from the popular anime, each with their own unique roles. Broken Daydream comes with three main modes: a single player story experience, co-op quests and boss raids with massive multiplayer battles.
Two more games may also be available in April Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream and Lords of the Fallen. If that's the case, Sony will likely be aiming for two very different titles, as they now have two RPGs (albeit very different styles) on the line next month. Last month's batch of free PS Plus games that can still be picked up until April 7th was Monster Hunter Rise, PGA Tour 2K25, Slime Rancher 2, and The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Gold Road.
While the leaked titles will be available for all three PlayStation Plus tiers, those who subscribe to the Extra or Premium tiers will have even more games when the game catalog is updated in April. March once again brought some big additions to the catalog, as supplied by Sony Astroneer, Blasphemous 2, Madden NFL 26, Metal Eden, Persona 5 Royal, The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moriaand Warhammer 40,000: Space Marines 2. Unlike the Essential Games of the Month, these titles won't be available to keep forever, as Sony rotates new games each month. So anyone who wants to check out any of the above games should do so as soon as possible.
