Arc Raiders has sold 12 million copies, reaching 3.2 million players per day

Arc Raiders was one of the many surprise hits in the video game industry in 2025, but we're still learning how big a hit the extraction shooter was in 2026. According to new estimates, Arc Raiders may have already sold more than 12 million copies and also hit 3.2 million daily users across all platforms.

These are not official numbers, but data shared by Alinea Analytics, a website that regularly provides accurate estimates in terms of sales and player numbers. Alinea revealed it 3.2 million people played Arc Raiders on PC, PS5 and Xbox on January 4, 2026which is the game's biggest day yet.

Arc Raiders may be the best selling game of 2025

This statistic was coupled with an arguably even more impressive one – that Alinea estimates that Arc Raiders has sold over 12 million copies. A number that almost every studio in the world strives for and few come close to. Most of the games that sell over ten million copies are either among a handful of Nintendo giants or tied to big IP like Spider-Man and Grand Theft Auto.

If Arc Raiders has indeed crossed 12 million copies sold, then that would make it one of the best-selling games of 2025. We don't have the raw numbers, but we can compare those numbers to the numbers and estimates we have for some of its competitors. Battlefield 6, for example, probably sold more. However, the latest confirmed number we have is seven million.

Arc Raiders now has the fourth best launch on Steam in 2025

Closely eclipsed by indie darling Plan I.

While it might not seem like a big deal to most, Borderlands 4 has been confirmed as one of the best selling games of last year, but again we don't have anything close to solid numbers. The same goes for Assassin's Creed Shadows, which at one point led the best sellers, but seems to have fallen off in the second half of 2025.

Arc Raiders staying power is more impressive than his sheer numbers

You'd think Monster Hunter Wilds would be right up there, but after selling 10 million copies right out of the gate, its sales have fallen off a cliff, as confirmed by Capcom's financial reports. Not even Nintendo can compete because Mario Kart World hasn't officially passed the ten million mark yet.

In the end it will surpass the Arc Raiders, but let's live and enjoy this moment while we can.

The core story here, despite the initial success, is that Arc Raiders clearly has legs. Not only are millions of copies sold, but almost everyone who plays it seems to stick around. Not only does this clearly demonstrate its daily record of 3.2 million players, but its concurrent player count is essentially unchanged from when it launched in October. Battlefield 6's numbers tell a completely different story, as even the launch of its free-to-play battle royale spinoff Redsec couldn't keep most of its players coming back for more.
