hundreds ARC Raiders fans took to social media to express their frustration, claiming that Trigger 'Nades, one of the game's quick-use items, violates PvP, and urged developer Embark Studios to nerf them. Several ARC Raiders weapons have already been nerfed since launch, but this is one of the first times fans have been clamoring for a quick-use item to receive the same treatment.
Weapon balancing in the game as ARC Raiderswhere the line between PvP and PvE is blurred is a real challenge. Embark Studios has dealt with this by introducing a wide variety of semi-specialized weapons, some of which are meant to be shot down ARC Raidersdeadly machines and others that are better suited to fighting enemy raiders. In other words, the developer pretty much left the choice up to the players, letting them decide whether to run a more PvE or PvP loadout. That said, since launch, several items and weapons have upset this balance, prompting fans to demand changes, as seen with Trigger 'Nades.
With the ARC Raiders tutorial skin now in the game, fans have been clamoring for more tease skins
Fans believe that there is another ARC Raiders skin that should be added now that the tutorial skin has finally made it to the game.
Fans Think ARC Raiders 'Nades Are Overpowered' Trigger
Trigger 'Nades have long been a fixture ARC Raiders' arsenal, but recently they have grown in popularity in PvP to the point where some fans believe they are unbalancing the game. These grenades work similar to the C4 in many games, with players throwing them at a target and detonating them from a distance. Which makes many feel “overwhelmed”. ARC Raiders players is their long range, near-instant detonation, and the fact that two well-placed charges are often enough to take down a raider.

Why should I spend material on more expensive grenades?
In addition to their high damage and wide AoE, fans believe that Trigger 'Nades have become so common in PvP mainly because of how affordable they are to produce. Discussing the issue on Reddit, one fan wrote: “If Trigger 'Nades [require] only 2 raw explosives, why would I ever waste materials on more expensive grenades that do less damage in a smaller radius with a delay that allows people to easily dodge them?” For those who don't know, players can unlock the Trigger 'Nade plan early on ARC Raiders by completing a relatively simple quest that involves shooting down a Hornet.
“It's more broken than the Venator Pre-Nerf,” say fans
One of the first ARC Raiders weapons that earned the “overpowered” label was the Venator 4. After a few tweaks, the gun received a massive rate of fire increase that temporarily broke PvP before being nerfed in patch 1.3.0. Now, some fans are joking that the Trigger 'Nade exploit in PvP is even more broken than Venator 4 was before the nerf, and are urging Embark Studios to address it before it further disrupts game balance.

It makes their production more difficult
hundreds ARC Raiders players shared ideas on how Embark Studios could defuse Trigger 'Nades. The most popular suggestion is to reduce their damage and radius of effect. Other ideas include limiting how far they can be thrown or adding a delay between launch and detonation. Some fans also point to their ease of crafting as part of the problem, although the counterargument is that raising the cost of crafting would mostly affect casual players, while those who farm ARC Raiders resources could still use them.
How Likely to Board Nerf Trigger 'Nades
Based on dev logs, it seems likely that Trigger 'Nades could be nerfed soon. Embark Studios has already modified the stats of two ARC Raiders weapons, Venator 4 and Hullcracker, which were previously considered obsolete. This suggests that the studio may also address the damage, radius, and crafting issues of Trigger 'Nades. That said, the studio has changed its patch schedule and informed fans that updates will resume after the hiatus when the team returns in January.
