Larian Studios could reveal its next game at The Game Awards 2025, with the demon statue in the Mojave Desert seemingly linked to its Divinity IP. There is no doubt that Larian Studios has received a lot of attention Baldur's Gate 3 released in 2023, but it's a legendary developer with a lot of work within its own IP. Fans could be seeing more of this soon, which is much sooner than I would have expected.
Fans knew that Larian would not be developing any DLC Baldur's Gate 3 or press the button Baldur's Gate 4, the developer chose to follow his own passions instead. While this disappointed some fans, it's good to see the studio working on what it wants to work on, not just what's guaranteed to sell like hotcakes. Yet Larian returns Divinity with the resources and know-how they have increased BG3 is exactly what fans need to see.
Baldur's Gate 3 developers have a funny reaction to the 2025 Game Awards nomination
Baldur's Gate 3 is nominated for another gaming award, and the developers have an honest and funny response to the news.
As reported by MP1st, Larian recently filed for some new IP-related trademarks. Whether it is a new sub-franchise, Divinity: Original Sin 3or somehow a new title in his second Divinity games remains to be seen, but one of the logos associated with them is almost identical to the demon statue. Not to mention that the demon statue is perfectly in line with Divinity franchise and Larian storytelling, so after seeing the statue and symbol it became a strong bet.

Look at the symbol in the lower right as it relates to the statue
Next to this statue were two jokes: “Regal.inspiring.thickness.” and “The [redacted] they are silent. [Redacted] bleeding. Now [redacted] mix.” In truth, they are vague enough that it is almost anything but a given DivinityThis lore, the Source, and the overall plot makes as much sense as anything else.
The Game Awards surprises
Every year Geoff Keighley and the team try to surprise the players. Rumors and leaks keep popping up, so take it with a grain of salt, but the mysterious TGA statue has to be connected to something. A connection with Larian Studios would be the biggest possible surprise, given that Baldur's Gate 3 it is quite fresh. Fans shouldn't expect this to be much more than a trailer, though perhaps Larian's next game will enter Early Access just as Baldur's Gate 3but it's definitely up there in terms of surprises.
All of this should be taken with a grain of salt, but it looks like The Game Awards 2025 is shaping up to be something really special. The statue is something, to say the least, and the fact that it could be a new game from Larian is about as surprising as it comes. Other rumored games for TGA include a new one Star Wars The Old Republic game (although it is not certain whether it is the KOTOR remake), possible PC port for Death Stranding 2, Control 2, Silent Hill 1 Remake, AC4: Black Flag Remake, Pragmataand Onimusha: Path of the Sword are also all rumours. Even then, in this list, Larian would probably be a huge show stopper.
If someone played Baldur's Gate 3but no Divinity: Original Sin games in particular, are an easy recommendation. Everything you love BG3 it is there if the quality is a little lower. New Divinity game with quality Baldur's Gate 3 is a wildly exciting prospect that I didn't expect to be teased with for a few more years.
I wouldn't even be surprised if this statue, and Larian as such, was “the last one” for the show. Either way, fans seem to be eating well — especially if those trademarks prove to be related to the statue.
