Baldur's Gate players don't even know you can save Thulla

In one of my countless “I've played Baldur's Gate 3 X hours and never knew Y” news, I learned that you can save the character Thulla from her horrible fungal fate.

I'm not the only one who wasn't aware of this, as evidenced by the comments section of Swimming_Variety2907's recent character thread.

Fast-acting poison

“This is Thulla. And this is what happened to her because I decided to visit Grymforge first. There is no cure anymore. I screwed the poor dwarf,” the poster reads.

They refer to the Cure the Poisoned Gnome quest, which is one of the few time-sensitive quests in the game. Thulla has been poisoned by Duergar Poison and the party only has three long rests to save her before her condition improves and she becomes a Myconid Husk, a type of mushroom zombie.

Thulla Talks To Player In Myconid Circle

“Great! I've never seen a result like this before,” comments Stoicsports, “two years later, multiple runs, over 300 hours played and this game still finds new ways to impress me,” adds Powerful_Wombat.

There are many ways to cure Thulla, from the amazingly simple to the surprisingly complex. It's a testament to the immersive elements of Baldur's Gate 3 that there are so many unrelated items and/or spells that can help Thulla.

Below are all the items (and spells) that can cure Thulla of her poisoning.

Silvanus Elixir (Carried by Nettie in Druid Grove).

Antitoxin (can be purchased from various merchants)

Remedial Potion (crafted or purchased from various merchants)

Elixir of Poison Resistance (sold by Arron or crafted)

Give her Noblestalk (story item from Find the Mushroom Picker quest)

Karniss, githyanki eggs and Dammon from Baldur's Gate 3.

It is not recommended to give Thulla Noblestalk as it is more useful for healing other characters while Thulla can easily be helped by other means.

If you rescue Thulla, she will beg the player to rescue her fellow Ironhand Gnomes in Grymforge. If you manage to drag everyone through their respective Underdarkian nightmares, then you'll find them all, including Thulla, in the Act 3 Angleiron Cellar.

After meeting death, Thulla spends her time making runic explosives to cause death to others. Best Gortash.
