Battlefield 6 fans could look forward to at least nine new match types as dataminers found several unused modes in the game's code. EA has previously stated that it wants the latest Battlefield to become its biggest and best yet, which likely means a steady stream of content throughout its lifecycle. Now Battlefield 6 players can take a closer look at some of the other steps in the process.
A month after its release, EA's latest FPS has already faced some significant ups and downs. While Battlefield 6 it lost its concurrent player crown, users flocked to it right after launch, and since then there has been a rapid exchange of player complaints and patches to address them. Overall, though, things are still looking good for the game, and Battlefield Studios is just getting started with the new content it wants to introduce in the coming months.
Battlefield 6 Datamine reveals nine upcoming game modes
Insider Gaming reports that it has found the filenames for nine new game modes Battlefield 6user files . Before the start of the first season, the sixth Battlefield 6 multiplayer modes that were not available at the time were discovered. Two of them, Sabotage and Strikepoint, were already confirmed for the game's first season, leaving four that EA didn't announce then and still haven't confirmed now. In this latest leak, data miners revealed five more modes: Convoy, The Fantastic Four, Shooter, Landingand Tug of war. Along with the remaining four from the last leak (Raid, Payload, Platoon shootout, and tank hunting) this brings the total number of unused and unreported match types to nine.
All five of the latest game modes are listed as “prototypes”. Battlefield 6user files . This label seems to indicate that they are still in the early stages of development, so they may not make it to the game for quite some time. Developers also don't need to feel particularly rushed to introduce them Battlefield 6 it already has 11 multiplayer modes, including Sabotage and Ice Lock, which are not yet available at the time of writing, but will be available later in the season.
It's not clear what each of the new modes will entail, but their names might give a hint. Gunmaster could be something similar Call of Duty's Gun Game and Valiant's Escalation, where players must cycle through multiple weapons after each kill and must use them all to win. Tug of war seems to imply a push-and-pull mode where teams compete to gain a certain level of control or complete objectives first. As for when the new content will debut, there's no word in the code, but it could probably take a while.
