Some Battlefield 6 players are not happy with the new Blackwell Fields map that was recently added in season one. It should be an exciting start to the season for them Battlefield 6 community, but most players are disappointed with some of the new map's design decisions, including its size and openness.
October 28 was supposed to be a big day Battlefield 6 players, with the first season starting and adding Battlefield REDSECfree battle royale game mode. However, the problems started once the new content became available, with players facing long queues to log in to play Battlefield 6. Unfortunately, another problem seemed to plague the launch.
Battlefield 6 players think Blackwell Fields is too small and open
Battlefield 6 players just aren't too excited about “Blackfield Fields”. A Reddit post with over 3,000 upvotes called it “the worst map in Battlefield history,” and many other players listed all the problems with the map. The most obvious ones are that the new map is small, linear, and too open. With the map boundaries set up the way they are, all players are directed to the same place and the areas don't have enough points of interest, so snipers can take out players fairly quickly, sometimes as soon as they appear. Others complained that the bases are getting even closer to each other.
To top it all off, the map also has some weird glitches, like the one shared by a player who suddenly started flying while walking. Others have pointed out that there are too many vehicles for a small map, no verticality, and some places make it impossible to get around enemies. Overall, the community seems to think it's a pretty bad experience, which contrasts with how well Battlefield 6 was generally accepted.
Perhaps even worse, players complain about it Battlefield 6The maps are too small for a while and the first new area doesn't seem to improve things at all. While some of the 1.0 maps were actually bigger than the beta maps, it's fair to say that Battlefield 6 it still suffers mostly from small areas.
Fortunately, it looks like some fans are excited Battlefield REDSECuser map. The Battle Royale area is called Fort Lydon and has a total of 21 locations. So if players get tired of the new Season One map, they can at least play REDSEC and have an arena with many more options to choose from.
