Battlefield 6 players share their frustrations with one of the game's support challenges, encouraging them to deliberately make life difficult for their teammates while completing it. The annoyance stems from the fact that players have to block the view of their teammates with smoke grenades in order to complete this particular task. Battlefield 6 call.
Although some players remain frustrated with these challenge issues, it hasn't stopped Battlefield 6 from a huge success. Following Battlefield 2042the series was in desperate need of a return to form, and despite the hype, it looks like that's exactly what EA and Battlefield Studios have delivered. The game sold millions of copies within days and reached a huge number of players on all platforms.
Battlefield 6 support challenges force players to make life difficult for teammates
Reddit user Fehzi pointed out that “I literally have to make my team sad” to complete the third level Battlefield 6 Support challenges. The challenge in question tasks players with the task of “getting smoke assists as support”, which involves teammates getting kills with their smoke grenade. While some will naturally pick it up playing as Support over time, those looking to complete the challenge as quickly as possible are incentivized to smoke wherever their teammates are standing in the hopes of getting a kill. But as Fehzi points out, “it probably prevents them from getting kills in the first place.”
Other players in the thread have pointed out that the real problem is how the challenge works. It's easy to assume that smoke assists qualify if the player gets a distant smoke kill, which would be easy to do in Battlefield 6 modes like Breakthrough where enemies can basically only come from one direction. However, this challenge requires a teammate to stand up and get a kill from inside the smoke with severely impaired vision, and when enough players try to complete it, it has the potential to completely destroy the lobby.
But whether Battlefield Studios will address this in a future patch remains to be seen, with its focus elsewhere. One recently Battlefield 6 the update has already reworked some challenges, while the class-specific ones have already seen some important changes. However, the developer has already shown a willingness to adapt to community consensus, so if the vast majority wants to see a change with this particular solution, anything is possible Battlefield 6 call.
