Best skills for Damian in Crimson Desert

Damiane is the second playable character Crimson desertand while at first glance he may not be that different from Kliff, he is actually a more technical type of fighter who favors speed over brute force. However, since Damiane has a completely different skill tree than the other characters, this means that you'll have to unlock many of her abilities separately, and given how slowly you acquire artifacts from the Abyss Crimson desertyou'll want to keep in mind which of Damian's skills you get first.

The good thing about Damian (and Oongko) is that any Abyss Artifacts you spend on health, spirit, and stamina upgrades will carry over to them.so you don't have to worry about them. He will have Damian too Quick replacement skill unlocked under her Armed Combat node.

Armed Combat (Level 2)

The Armed Combat skill improves the damage you deal with weaponsso upgrading should be easy no matter who you use. However, if you want to prioritize opening up Damian's skill set, we recommend getting her Armed Combat to at least level 2. This will unlock the Evasive Smite move, which allows her to cast a flash of light while dodging backwards.

Evasive attacks like these are excellent for keeping your edge in combat. Compared to Kliff, Damian's Evasive Smite moves cover a bit more distance, which is perfect for her fast and spatial playstyle.

If you have skill points to spare, level up Armed Combat to maximize your damage.

Smithing Strike

Smiting Strike is the equivalent of Turning Slash for Kliff. It's a spirit-absorbing weapon attack that deals excellent damage, and leveling it gives you the following bonuses:

  • Smiting Strike 2 (Proficiency) allows you to perform another Smiting Strike in the same attack chain.

  • Smiting Strike 3 (Rend Armor) causes your hits with this ability to ignore Super Armor, allowing you to interrupt certain enemies' attacks.

Upgrading this skill won't necessarily make the hit worse, but it will open up some stronger combos and allow more flexibility when fighting tough enemies.

Sword Flurry (Rapier)

Agility is Damian's defining trait, and the Sword Flurry move for Rapier weapons is a perfect example of why. This ability allows Damian to strike while dodging to the side. When you upgrade to level 2, Sword Flurry can be used once more. This is perfect for avoiding incoming attacks that you can't interrupt without Smiting Strike 3.

Damian's other weapons have access to different variations of Sword Flurry: they also work as counter attacks, so you don't have to worry about losing this ability no matter what weapon you use.

The second level of Piercing Light unlocks Uppercut. Not only is this good for crowd control, but it also ties in with another skill recommendation below. Uppercut can be used after successfully hitting a charged Piercing Light, and the good thing about these stabbing skills is that they can be they charge up instantly by using them in the middle of a basic attack combo.

Piercing Light 2 also unlocks the Skewer, which is used by holding your forward movement after hitting a charged stab. This is mainly used to get you out of tight spotsspecifically when surrounded by enemies.

Uppercut and Skewer are only available when Damiane is using the Rapier or when she is dual wielding. Piercing Light 2 unlocks different moves for Greatswords and Spears.

Grappling (Level 5)

Grappling 5 unlocks the Aerial Grapple move, which allows Uppercut to chain into a screwdriver finisher (the second is unlocked on Grappling 3). Using piercing light to Uppercut and Screwdriver is one of the most satisfying moves you can make with Damiane.and it's very useful against some of the elite enemies you'll face.

The Grappling skill is generally great for distracting mobs, interrupting attacks, gaining invulnerability frames, and fighting shielded/blocking enemies. Leveling this level unlocks Damian's Athletic Lariat and Back Hang abilitywhich is essential for fighting trolls and other large targets.

On a related note, if you want to incorporate a lot of tactile moves into your playstyle, unlock the Tornado Kick as it can be followed up with the Screwdriver.

Shield Toss (Level 2) & Shield Sentinel

Damiane doesn't have as many area attacks as Kliff and Oongka, but she does have Shield Toss, a ranged attack that can bounce between multiple enemies. Upgrading this skill to level 2 will increase the maximum number of hits from 3 to 5, but more importantly, it will unlock a more important skill: Shield Sentinel.

Shield Sentinel essentially turns Damian's shield into an attack drone. After using this skill, your shield will chase you and blast enemies with energy, improving your overall DPS. This is especially useful against bosses as they have more health than your average grunt enemies.

Shield Sentinel also requires Shield Toss 2 and Focus 2.

Focus Shot (Level 3)

Upgrading the Focus Shot skill unlocks the following:

  • Focused escape shot allows you to fire a concentrated shot while dodging.
  • Aimed charged shot allows you to fire a volley of bullets while aiming Focused Shot or using Charged Shot.

While you don't necessarily need to incorporate ranged attacks into your general playstyle, both of these buffs allow you to more easily deal with fast and/or flying enemies (i.e. flying mages from Antumbra). Using any Aimed Missile skill slow down time giving you the opportunity to create the perfect shot.

Magic and Imbue Element

To unlock elemental magic Crimson desert, players must complete specific Abyss puzzles. Meanwhile, the Imbue Element skill can only be unlocked after acquiring one of the element magic skills.

Unlocking any of the magic skills greatly opens up your combo options, and they're all very effective in combat. Imbue Element alone will do wonders for your damageespecially once you start Smiting Strike infusing fire or lightning damage.
