Assassin's Creed: Black Flag hasn't been officially revealed yet, but plenty of information has surfaced pointing to the impending announcement. From insider information to PEGI ratings, it's clear that Ubisoft plans to launch the game soon. However, the latest development is sure to be something fans will appreciate.
Stabbing sailors, looting loot and engaging in naval battles were the main attractions of Black Flag, but the sea shacks gave the game its soul. Even if you've forgotten the plot after all these years, you definitely remember sailing across the Caribbean Sea as your crew sang a melancholy sea shanty. Ubisoft Music has now added all of these shacks to their YouTube page.
Assassin's Creed: Black Flag's Sea Shanties are on YouTube
18 sea shacks from Black Flag have been added to Ubisoft Music's YouTube page, which everyone says is just another clue to the remake's announcement. The Ubisoft Music YouTube page regularly posts soundtracks from new projects like the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora DLC and the Splinter Cell Deathwatch TV show, so adding tracks from a 12-year-old game is definitely suspect.
Of course, the comments on most of the videos were about how the Black Flag remake is one of the worst kept secrets in the industry and that Ubisoft should announce the game by now. At this point, you have to think that the studio is just messing with the fans and keeps dropping a few crumbs at a time. At this rate, don't be surprised if a random weekday afternoon takes a turn for the worse.
Black Flag is the only Assassin's Creed with modern sections worth caring about
I will miss sneaking around Abstergo Industries in first person.
It may still be a month or two before the Assassin's Creed: Black Flag remake launches, especially with everything going on at Ubisoft right now. However, this collection of sea shacks is the perfect way to get into the pirate mood before Edward Kenway and the Jackdaw crew make their long-awaited return. Until then, we're just waiting for the day to get our remake.
