Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombie fans are in for a treat, as just a month after Citadelle Des Morts' release date, another wheel-based map is coming to the FPS. Ahead of its release, fans have been treated to a great deal of information, with only its opening film released so far. With plenty of trailers and blog posts to boot, fans know quite a bit about what this new map – The Tomb – has to offer. However, one of the most amazing elements of this Black Ops 6 The Zombies map could actually prove to be a double-edged sword as it draws attention back to a recurring problem.
While gameplay-focused fans continue to debate whether the map reuses too many assets, such as its Wonder Weapon, Death Perception, and electric special enemy Mimic, and lore buffs prepare to meet Archibald Fotherington-Smyth, fans of art in video games . he can't wait to jump into the tomb. The map made a great impression in this regard, not only with its visually stunning Dark Aether location, but also with some of the most striking special zombie skins to date. Unfortunately, it's impossible to acknowledge Treyarch's game art with this map without thinking about all the AI artwork used outside of it.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies' Tomb Controversy Feels Like Liberty Falls All Over Again
The upcoming Tomb map for Black Ops 6 has sparked a debate in the CoD Zombies community, and the whole situation is reminiscent of Liberty Falls.
The art direction of The Tomb deserves praise…
Practically about everything Black Ops 6 The Zombies' Tomb map is visually appealing. The sandy starting area of the Dig Site visually stands out with numerous staircases, columns, partially excavated sculptures. From there, the map only gets more interesting, and its tombs and catacombs boast serious IX vibes. The huge cave, which is an underground temple, really stands out from everything else Black Ops 6while Dark Aether Nexus looks set to be more breathtaking than previous visits to Dark Aether. Instead of a ton of purple plants and crystals, players are greeted with a space-like skybox, gigantic orange mushrooms, and unique terrain to walk on.
It's unclear how big the Dark Aether Nexus will be, as with the Pack-a-Punch machine present in the area, there's a chance it's only a small part of the map. Regardless, it could still feature the final Tomb boss battle along with some small references to the Aether and Chaos stories.
A good-looking map isn't all The Tomb has to offer from an artistic point of view, though, as its Zombie models are top notch, too. Zombies has had many interesting character models in the past, featuring everything from civilians and prisoners to cowboys and soldiers. As players search for Ice Staff upgrades and listen to audio tracks, they encounter zombies in ancient armor, tattered cloaks, and shirtless outfits that reveal their bony chests. The trailer makes a brief appearance of a particularly unique regular enemy design, the undead character model boasts a bony animal helmet and appears to be covered in white paint. Perhaps his appearance serves as a map boss hint, but regardless, it's a very distinctive appearance that will certainly add to the immersion of the Tomb.
…But Call of Duty Embracing AI Art remains a red flag
Still, Hrobka itself seems to be a clear example of how much good art direction can contribute to ka Call of Duty The Zombies map, it's off-map content that has drawn the ire of the franchise's fan base. Players have noticed numerous loading screens and business cards that bear clear signs of AI use, whether it's awkward posing or too many digits on the hands of the characters they're focusing on. Sadly, Zombies is not safe from this controversy and in some ways has suffered the most because of it.
As video game actors fight for protection against publishers replacing them with artificial intelligence or using their voices to create new material without paying the actors for their work, a massive strike has taken place. This strike seemingly led to Black Ops 6 Zombies recasts not only Peck, but also Samantha Maxis, a character who has been at the heart of the mode for over a decade. This was a huge concern for the players because they not only miss Sam's old voice Black Ops 6but he is afraid of further changes in the cast. This core interest, coupled with the AI artwork used for the Tomb logo and Zombies seasonal events, makes the human-made Tomb art stand out more than ever. Obviously, Treyarch is a studio full of talented individuals who can produce great art, so AI elements are forced into it Call of Duty is as useless as it is frustrating. Let's hope Activision moves away from using AI as it was a blemish on an otherwise great one Call of Duty game.
