Black Ops 7 reveals a much-requested perk change

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Responding to player requests, developer Treyarch Studios has revealed that it has implemented a major change to the Dexterity Perk. After the fans had to get up in arms Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 earlier this month, one of the biggest requests was for Treyarch Studios to create certain features from the Dexterity Perk portion of the default movement system. The studio has now responded to players in a new developer update, outlining its plans to launch the game on November 14th.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 an open beta took place in early October and allowed fans to not only get a glimpse of what the series had in store for the next 12 months, but also give Treyarch valuable feedback before the game's full release. While the community had high praise for this year's edition Call of DutyThere were a handful of requests that many expected to fall to the ground, the most prominent being skill-based matchmaking. However, fans were left shocked when Treyarch confirmed that they would ditch SBMM Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and a return to the traditional matchmaking system that we haven't seen in over 6 years.

Given that Black Ops 7 open beta, Treyarch has confirmed a number of other highly requested changes, but it doesn't seem like it's done yet. In a new development update, the studio revealed that it made several major changes to the Dexterity Perk based on player feedback. The perk allowed players to target the fly while gliding, diving, and wall jumping, but many believed it should be part of the default movement system. Well, Treyarch has heard the feedback loud and clear as the ability to aim down while performing the aforementioned moves will be included by default. Treyarch says fans can still equip Dexterity for “maximum fluidity,” but ADS is no longer needed in every situation.

This is just one of the many changes Treyarch has made to the movement system Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 compared to its predecessor. this year's Call of Duty the title is also getting rid of Tac Sprint as a default feature, something fans have been asking for for years. Instead, Tac Sprint will be included as a Perk for those who still want it, but it won't be part of the default movement system. This comes alongside Treyarch's evolved omni-movement system, which it released for the first time Black Ops 6. Players can now not only run, jump, dive and slide in any direction, but can also wall jump, allowing for an even faster and smoother gaming experience.

Several other changes were also revealed in the latest development update, including increasing the volume of footsteps, reducing the speed and distance of the slide, and combining many advantages for multiplayer. Treyarch also said it is focusing on the power of targeting in Black Ops 7as well as aid in turning aim and requiring the correct crosshairs to move towards the target on the controller. More details on adjustments to aim assist, maps, modes, weapons, progressions and more will be revealed in a new blog post before the game launches on November 14th.
