Activision is pulling back the curtain on Battle Pass Season 2 Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzoneshowcasing new BlackCell skins, operator skins and new shop packs. While Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 started slower than usual, Activision and its development studios like Treyarch are trying to continue to improve the experience for players. Part of this development are these seasonal updates, which add substantial new content for players to enjoy.
In fact, it seems that way Black Ops 7 has largely bounced back from its underwhelming start. While Battlefield 6 initially dominated the headlines when he became the top-selling shooter of 2025, Black Ops 7 he's playing the long game and it seems to be working. While Battlefield 6 new industry data shows this Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 became the most played game on PlayStation and Xbox in the US during January 2026. While it has multiple platforms at its disposal, Activision seems to be trying to capitalize on that momentum with the upcoming launch of Season 2.

Developer Treyarch Studios confirms that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 2 will see the return of the popular multiplayer map from Black Ops 2.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 2 Battle Pass Rewards
In a new gaming blog post, Activision gave fans their first detailed look at the types of rewards that can be earned when Season 2 launches for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 February 5th. The latest operator to join the growing list is neural scientist Victoria Atwood, a figure heavily involved with The Guild and someone responsible for tapping into David Mason's mind during the campaign. Instantly unlocked by simply purchasing the Premium Battle Pass, along with a 10% XP boost, Atwood's “Sage” skin, the Malcontent Legendary Blueprint for the Razor 9mm, the Arm Up business card, and the Warped Skull emblem.
In addition to different operator skins, the Season 2 Battle Pass will add three free bases Black Ops 7 weapons also unlock. This includes the REV-46 fully automatic SMG available on page 3, the EGRT-17 fully automatic assault rifle on page 6, and the H311-SAW melee weapon on page 10. For those who want to add a little more customization to existing weapons, Season 2 will add over 20 blueprints, new moves, gear C Skluins, Reticles, finishing touches. Players can even earn additional rewards such as stickers, consumable tokens, themes and Call of Dutypremium cash on delivery points.
Season 2 also brings back Call of DutyBlackCell content that offers even more skins and rewards for those who don't mind spending a little more on the Battle Pass. In this case, BlackCell's instant rewards include Phantom Operator and an alternate Eclipse skin. Each page in the Battle Pass also has exclusive bonus rewards for BlackCell owners, including different skins for Mason, Atwood and more. In addition, BlackCell owners will instantly unlock:

The Call of Duty the store will also have new packs to purchase, including new Ultra Operator skins that are highly detailed, themed, and usually come with unique visuals to help them stand out. For Season 2, this can be seen via the Final Directive Tracer Pack, which comes with the Death Engine Reaper EWR-3 Ultra Operator Skin along with a handful of other items. Activision's post also revealed details for the Phase Hunter Ultra Pack, Backdraft Ultra Skin, and Atomic Carbon pack.
However, the new rewards are not the only updates coming in Season 2. The RICOCHET Anti-Cheat system is Black Ops 7as Activision announced new countermeasures to combat cheating and those who break the rules. Namely mentioned were Cronus Zen and XIM Matrix, programs capable of running custom scripts and macros to help reduce things like recoil and add aim assist. The new detection methods will disable these programs while Microsoft Azure Attestation will be used to verify the integrity of the computer to work in tandem with TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot requirements.
