Bloober Team finally reveals their mysterious new game

After weeks of anticipation filled with fan speculation and a mysterious countdown that slowed to February 14th, Bloober Team, the developer behind Silent Hill 2 remake a Cronos: A New Dawnfinally revealed the latest entry in the psychological horror series that started the company's journey through twisted stories Layers of Fear 3. original Layers of fear was Bloober Team's first ever game release, and as the title prepares to celebrate its 10th anniversary, the developer is celebrating with an early trailer for Layers of Fear 3.

Bloober Team has been on the rise in recent years, earning both critical and commercial praise for the highly successful remake Silent Hill 2 and a brand new sci-fi horror story introduced with Cronos: A New Dawn. While many were keeping their fingers crossed for the Bloober Team's mysterious countdown clock to reveal the highly coveted Born Of A Wish DLC for Silent Hill 2 or maybe a remake of a classic cult survival horror Rule of Rosefans were pleasantly surprised to see the Bloober Team return to their roots with another entry into the stunning world Layers of fear.

A newly spotted trademark filing could potentially tease Silent Hill 2 remake developer Bloober Team's next video game project.

When the Bloober countdown ended on February 14, the audience was treated to a Layers of fear A special 10th anniversary event video that featured an unexpected trailer for Layers of Fear 3. The Layers of Fear 3 announcement is called “The Sick Rose” after the William Blake poem that just so happens to be recited by a live actor in the opening video. The same poetry was shared on the Bloober Team website before the clock ran out, and the rose motif is what initially led many to believe Rule of Rose a remake could be coming. After it was confirmed that the countdown was unrelated to any remakes, fans were left confused as to what Bloober was up to. Now that Layers of Fear 3 is officially confirmed, many are wondering how William Blake's “The Sick Rose” could be used in a new psychological horror game.

The use of a melancholic poem is of particular interest to fans Layers of fear a series known to focus on artists and uncovering their creative minds. Either the master and the visuals shared in the teaser video, including the ominous hourglass with red sand, give any real clues to the story or visuals Layers of Fear 3 remains purely speculative, though the clips shown featured a number of graphics and iconography from the first two games in the franchise.
