Ponyta is available now through Build-a-Bear
Months after Pokemon and Build-a-Bear released the Litten plush, trainers can now get another Fire-type animal for their plush collections. Ponyta is available now through Build-a-Bear's website for an MSRP of $59.50, excluding tax and shipping. Shipping rates start at $10 for economy shipping in the continental US and it can take one to two weeks for Build-a-Bear orders to arrive. The Ponyta plush comes with an additional blue sleep jumper that can be taken off or left on. Build-a-Bear's Ponyta plush also features a 5-in-1 sound chip that plays voice lines that can be heard by pressing one of Ponyta's hooves. Ponyta's sounds in the Build-a-Bear plush are similar to those used everywhere Pokemon anime series. The Build-a-Bear Ponyta plush is about 14 inches tall, or a third of its average size of three feet three inches in Pokemon video games.
However, there are a few caveats Pokemon keep coaches in mind. The Ponyta Plush cannot be purchased unstuffed and cannot be retrofitted with a Pokémon fill. The Ponyta Plush is an online exclusive item on the Build-a-Bear website, so Pokemon fans won't find it at any Build-a-Bear retail store. Pokemon products through Build-a-Bear are also only available as exclusive bundles and cannot be combined with any promotions or coupons.
The new Ponyta plush is also the first Kanto Pokemon to appear at Build-a-Bear in over five months since the Giant-Size Gengar pack was first made available. Build-a-Bear's Giant Gengar plush costs a staggering $149, nearly triple the price of the new Ponyta plush. The Gengara Giant-Size Plush arrived along with a Galar Sheep Pokemon Plush named Wooloo. As of this writing Pokemon products continue to be available through the Build-a-Bear website so trainers can see which ones they want to add to their collections.
Ponyta's Build-a-Bear debut comes at the right time
Since first generation Pokémon like Cubone were also available through Build-a-Bear, Ponyta's addition to the growing list Pokemon products at Build-a-Bear is not surprising. Compared to other Build-a-Bear products, the Ponyta's $59.50 price tag is just 50 cents cheaper than the Eevee plush pack and $14.50 cheaper than the aforementioned Cubone plush. So Build-a-Bear's new Ponyta plush is one of the cheapest dolls Pokemon fans can currently purchase through its website.
Plus, Ponyta's arrival at Build-a-Bear comes at a great time Pokemon fans. PokemonThe franchise's 30th anniversary will be observed throughout the year, with Pokémon ramping up its social media promotional campaigns. With Pokemon Day on Friday, February 27th, trainers are looking forward to more information on the next main line Pokemon games.
