Capcom has released a summary of its recent financial results conference call, confirming that it still has some unannounced games in the pipeline for the next fiscal year, which surely points to a Code Veronica remake.
We're only a few months into 2026, but that hasn't stopped Capcom from having a banner year. Resident Evil Requiem, which launched last week, has already been a huge success for Capcom, and it's joined by Switch 2 ports of the last few games in the series, which also seem to have gone down.
Combine this massive influx of Resident Evil games with the upcoming Monster Hunter Stories 3, Pragmata, continued support for Street Fighter 6, and unreleased games like Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and 2026 is shaping up to be an absolutely huge year for Capcom. However, there seems to be more that we don't know about.
That means until March 2027
As pointed out by Twitter user HazzadorGamin, Capcom just shared a summary of its recent financial results report that delved into the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026. While most of the report reflects the success of Resident Evil over the past year or so, there's a pretty interesting bit that talks about “key growth drivers” for the upcoming fiscal year 31, which ends on March 27.
In response to this question, Capcom says it will provide details on its strategy for the next fiscal year for the full earnings announcement, but that it remains focused on “selling both new and catalog titles.” Capcom says that “aside from Pragmat,” new titles will be announced at a “future date” as it continues to expand catalog sales.
All of this means that Capcom has at least a few unannounced games that it plans to either release by March 31, 2027, or to announce. While that's normal for a company the size of Capcom, considering how many titles we already know are in the works, it's impressive to see even more coming next year.
The most obvious game that could be part of this unannounced lineup is the rumored Resident Evil Code Veronica remake, which was not only hinted at in Requiem, but is also said to be set for the first half of 2027. Since Capcom always releases Resident Evil games at the beginning of the year, it seems like this would fit at least one of the “new features.”
