LONDON: Adidas has apologized to supermodel Belle Hadid after pulling her from an ad campaign that referenced the 1972 Munich Olympics, Sky News reported on Wednesday. Israel-aligned pressure groups accused the campaign of insulting Hadid's part-Palestinian background. At the 1972 Games, 11 Israeli athletes and a German policeman were killed by the Black September group.
