Crimson Desert developers want to make improvements “quickly”.

Crimson Desert developers Pearl Abyss have promised they are doing their “maximum” to make changes and improvements to the surprisingly divisive game as quickly as possible.

As many of you already know, judging by the sheer number of players, the ridiculously ambitious Crimson Desert finally launched yesterday after months of being one of the most anticipated games of the year. While it's certainly doing well for itself, criticism and Steam reviews make it clear that Crimson Desert has a lot that needs tweaking.

Clunky controls, confusing puzzles (with one early in the game even being updated to launch), and strange performance on certain consoles were all given to players as a few examples of Crimson Desert's issues. Don't worry, as Pearl Abyss has clearly seen the feedback and is working as fast as it can to make the changes.

Crimson Desert Developer Promises Changes “Soon”

Let's pray that jumping and interaction are at the top of the list

The official Crimson Desert Twitter account revealed that the game has already managed to sell two million copies worldwide, which is a huge feat for a brand new IP. However, the post didn't just celebrate Crimson Desert's sales numbers, as it acknowledged the issues players have had with the game so far.

In the post, Pearl Abyss noted that it will be listening closely to the “wide range of feedback” that everyone has shared so far (a polite way of saying there's been a fair amount of issues) and that it's working to “make improvements quickly.” Given what has been changed and fixed so far, I don't doubt it.

By far the biggest problem I've seen with Crimson Desert is its confusing control scheme, so hopefully that's at the top of the improvement list.

It would be easy for Pearl Abyss to take a victory lap with Crimson Desert hitting a big sales milestone, it's nice to see the developer admit that the game has some flaws right off the bat. Hopefully, some of the bigger wrongs will be fixed as soon as possible so that Crimson Desert's true strengths get a chance to shine.
