Do you know how everyone loved Astro Bot? How was it awarded for its environmental design, a sense of game and whim and its conscientious design of the creative level? (Our own Stacey Henley certainly did in her review.) Remember how people (including me) noted that it was a particularly joyful game that faced the cynicism that permeates most of the media? Do you remember won the game of the year after unanimously shining reviews? Me too.
Look, people long for astro shoes. They want games that bring joy back to games that surprise them that they spark with creativity and beauty. If you are one of these people, I hope you have watched the latest playstation game, because we could finally have a successor.

Darwin's paradox can have everything I want in a platform
I found that the state of the game was largely disappointing, but I was sitting as soon as Darwin's paradox's pendant began to play. We see a caricature of octopus swimming through a completely stunning cave that is teeming with life, corals and ship. Light with rock. Then we see how the octopus waves and whistles like a lubrication toy when the waterfall throws in the background. Then, the finding nemo, the octopus is taken from the sea, seemingly a boat.
This is followed by a platform in different environments and depicts a surprising breadth of octopus abilities. The octopus shoots ink in the field of vision on the camera, masks against the sign on the floor of the outdoor warehouse, releases into the air with a slingshot, hops on the box on the box on the transport belt high in the air, hiding under a movable trolley in a crowded office.
Each individual environment is beautifully lit and full of details and movement, which makes it feel alive. I was amazed by the colors on the display, breathtaking background depth and animation quality – my jaw dropped when I saw the lights of the robot's eyes swept on the floor, bathed everything in a warm, scattered light. I am hard to push to think of another side rolling platform that looks so beautiful rendered.
According to the blog post Playstation, the game will also use the Haptics of DualSense Controller to a large extent, reminding me how Astro Bot did the same. It will vibrate with ink shots and movement and hear sound allusions through a controller speaker that warns you of potential threats.

Astro Bot, Sans Marketing
But Darwin's paradox has something that Astro Bot is not, and that's an essential story. Where some noted that Astro shoes were seriously relying on IP and licensing to shoot with a sense of nostalgia – a lot of IP is dead, so the game feels a bit like a cemetery – Darwin's paradox doesn't have it all.
Instead, it is rather similar to traditional puzzles-platformators where you go through the levels to achieve the final goal. Sure, Astro Bot technical He has a plot, but it is not really. I consider it a plus. I can love the platform according to my own merit, but I also love when the game has something to say.
Darwin's paradox is named after a real scientific paradox: how coral reefs, nutrients and diversity and diversity and lifeAre there in the middle of Stark Plains completely without resources? The game is like the coral reef, clear and alive in a sea of bleak cynical games. It's too early to be as great as Astro Bot, but my God, I can't wait to find out. I want the games to please me again.
