Dead by Daylight developer Behavior Interactive just confirmed that another Stranger Things DLC Chapter is soon heading to an asymmetric multiplayer horror game. He welcomes this announcement Stranger Things into a very exclusive club, being the only IP apart from Resident Evil cooperate with Dead by Daylight the second time.
First Dead by Daylight x Stranger Things The Chapter DLC originally launched in September 2019, though it was removed from the game just two years later due to license expiration. This initial wave Stranger Things content has been rolled back Dead by Daylight in November 2023 and is still accessible today.
For $11.99 or 1500 Auric Cells Dead by Daylight players have access to two Stranger Things– Survivors theme, Steve Harrington and Nancy Wheeler, as well as one Killer, Demogorgon. While Nancy's Survivor Perks revolve around raising awareness for teammates, Steve's focus is on helping himself and others while on and off the hook. The Demogorgon's main killing power allows them to create portals and teleport around the map using the Upside Down.
Stranger Things stuff is coming later
November 27 Dead by DaylightX's official account posted a short 20-second teaser confirming that the second Stranger Things DLC Chapter is heading to the game. This notice coincides with Stranger Things Season 5 release on Netflix, with the first four episodes of the final season appearing in the US on November 26 on subscription.
Although Dead by Daylight Stranger Things the crossover teaser is short, seemingly confirming this Stranger Things the villain Vecna will be the focal point of the DLC, likely to be the new playable Killer. It will be interesting to see how Stranger ThingsVecna differs from Dungeons and Dragons version (who Stranger Things character is based on) who came to Dead by Daylight in June 2024 as part of it Dungeons and Dragons cross chapter. That is possible Stranger ThingsVecna stands out by focusing more on the villain's telepathy and mind control abilities than Dungeons and Dragons' version has magical powers.
If upcoming Dead by Daylight x Stranger Things Chapter 2 follows in the footsteps of the original crossover from 2019, then fans could see two Survivors alongside Vecna. Jim Hoppper and Joyce Byers are the most likely candidates Dead by Daylight Survivors, with the core cast of children being arguably too young (at least in-universe) to be the subject of such a brutal and gory horror game. First Stranger Things Dead by Daylight The crossover also added a map inspired by the Hawkins Underground Lab, so it's possible that this upcoming chapter could also add a new map, perhaps inspired by the iconic Stranger Things a place like Creel House or Vecna's Upside Down hideout.
Second Dead by Daylight Stranger Things The crossover is slated for a January 2026 release, which should coincide nicely with the Stranger Things Season 5 finale at the beginning of the year. With a January 2026 release, it's possible fans will see more of the DLC at The Game Awards 2025. Dead by Daylight has a long history with the annual show hosted by Geoff Keighley, with the “Darkness Among Us” chapter revealed at the 2018 awards and The Cast by Frank Stone which were announced during the ceremony in 2023
Dead by DaylightThe January 2026 chapter has been the focus of much speculation over the past few weeks. While some escapists have suggested that a second Stranger Things collaboration was on the way, others claimed a third Resident Evil There could be a chapter or maybe a Predator crossover.
