AdHoc Studio responded to the community's growing calls for more Sendwith a senior company official saying the team is “thinking” about a second season of the hit adventure game. However, Send the developer isn't ready to commit to such a large content drop just yet.
An episodic adventure game from a studio founded by genre masters from the now-defunct developer Telltale Games starring Aaron Paul. Send upon its release in October 2025, it took the world by storm, reportedly selling 1 million in its first 10 days on the market. Although its last two episodes have yet to be released, fans have been asking for Season 2 ever since the game debuted.
Expedition Season 2 is possible, the developer confirms
During a recent appearance on the SkillUp The Friends Per Second podcast, AdHoc Studio co-founder and chief creative officer Pierre Shorette confirmed that the indie developer isn't ruling out another season of the hit adventure game. “Now we'll have to at least think about Season 2,” said the industry veteran. This comment was offered in direct response to Send exploded upon release in October 2025, though Shorette was careful not to commit to anything.
Episodic adventure games have been part of the industry for years. While AdHoc Studio adopted this model with Sendthe release cadence suggests that the episodic format was more of a marketing strategy than a reflection of realistic development timelines. After all, every two-episode package Send was released exactly one week after the previous one – too short a window to develop even a small amount of new content – suggesting that most of the work on each subsequent pack had already been completed well ahead of time.
Final Send is scheduled to premiere on November 12th, when episodes 7 and 8 are scheduled to be released on PlayStation 5 and PC. Even if AdHoc Studio moves forward with a second season, the chances of it arriving anytime soon seem slim. With the development cycles of modern games getting longer and longer, the likelihood is Send Season 2, which will materialize over the next few years, is basically zero.
We have to at least think about it [Dispatch] Season 2 now.
From November 9 Send has “overwhelmingly positive” reviews on Steam based on over 21,300 player views. Its success reflects a broader resurgence of narrative games in the post-Telltale era, suggesting that the public still has an appetite for dramatic storytelling that equals cinematic and interactive.
