Toyotarou hints at the return of Dragon Ball Super Manga for the first time since hiatus
Toyotarou recently updated the description on his X account to read, “It's all for the return of the series.” Not only does it come out of the blue, as V Jump recently announced that Dragon Ball Super manga is still on hiatus, this is the first time Toyotarou has actually acknowledged the hiatus and return of the manga in two years. Toyotarou has been suspiciously quiet about the status of the Dragon Ball Genkida Matsuri manga, especially considering that the anime is adapting the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga. he he wrote
The fact that Dragon Ball Genkida Matsuri credited the plot and character designs of the Moro arc to Akira Toriyama and not Toyotarou did any Dragon Ball fans are worried Dragon Ball Super the manga was effectively dead in the water and Toyotara is not coming back. Toyotarou's recent X update is proof that the return of the series isn't just on his mind, but that he's actively working towards the end of the hiatus. Best case scenario: Toyotarou was preparing a proposal Dragon Ball Super The manga is another story arc all this time and he just needed a break to outline the story without Akira Toriyama leading the way.
Black Frieza is another big threat in Dragon Ball Super Manga
The Dragon Ball Super the manga went on hiatus at the worst time storywise. The manga just finished an adaptation Dragon Ball Super: Super Heroincluding new material set after the end of the film. Dragon Ball Super he's never been closer to the end of Z, and with Black Frieza still at large, it's clear that he'll be the next villain of the series – either before or after Goku meets Uuba at the 28th Tenkaichi Budokai.
Once Dragon Ball Super manga finally returns, the Z-Fighters face off against the most powerful villain the series has ever seen. Black Frieza was strong enough to knock out Ultra Instinct Goku and Ultra Ego Vegeta in one hit, and while they grew stronger by the end of the year Dragon Ball Super: Super Heroit is unclear if they are strong enough to fight Black Frieza. Fortunately, the Z-Fighters now have Broly, Orange Piccolo, and Gohan Beast on their side to level the playing field.
The Dragon Ball Super the manga still doesn't have a confirmed release date, but given Toyotara's message to fans, the “return of the series” is the closest it's ever been.
