Originally published on January 16, 2020, it's hard to believe Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot still getting major DLC six years later. The game is the latest Dragon Ball DAIMA DLC, Adventures in the Demon Realm Part 2 wraps the rest Dragon Ball DAIMAstory. The expansion pack has been very faithful to the anime so far, but Part 2 brings some interesting additions to the anime's story, including a new ending and new information about Super Saiyan 4 Goku.
5 Dragon Ball Super Characters Stronger Than Ultra Instinct Goku
As of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, Ultra Instinct Goku is weaker than his rival, his son, and even the other main villain of the series.
IN Dragon Ball DAIMA Episode 20, Goku heavily hints that he unlocked Super Saiyan 4 after his fight with Kid Buu at the end of the year Dragon Ball Z. Goku says “Buu was really strong so I trained a lot after fighting him. But I wasn't sure if it would work.” The only “it” Goku could realistically be referring to here is Super Saiyan 4 himself, but Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot she directly linked this information to her new post-credits scene. Goku didn't transform Super Saiyan 4 for the first time until Neva helped him.

IN Dragon Ball Z: Kakarothis new ending cutscene Dragon Ball DAIMA DLC, Goku tells Panzy, “This may sound crazy, but I'm just used to being small. I got to Super Saiyan 4 and everything…Goku's new dialogue can only mean that he never transformed into Super Saiyan 4 before the battle with Gomah, which recontextualizes his wording in Dragon Ball DAIMA anime. Goku not being sure about Super Saiyan 4 working is no longer about him being strong enough to stop Gomah, but about him being strong enough to trigger the form in the first place.

As Dragon Ball The One moves into the final round, only 21 of the 212 characters remain.
It makes more sense with how Dragon Ball handles signature transformations. Although it's not uncommon for Saiyans to unlock Super Saiyan forms off-screen (actually most SSJ's transformations were actually unlocked off-screen), the main forms always happen first on-screen. Goku and Gohan first unlock Super Saiyan 1 and Super Saiyan 2 during their final battles with Frieza and Cell. Dragon Ball GT making a big show of Goku unlocking this Super Saiyan 4 form.
When Super Saiyan Blue is unlocked off-screen Resurrection FGoku unleashes Super Saiyan God and Ultra Instinct for the first time in front of an audience. Clearly revealing that Goku turned Super Saiyan 4 with only Neva's help raises the stakes Dragon Ball DAIMA's final battle and gives the transformation more gravitas rather than simply being something Goku tapped into himself. That said, the fact that Goku can just randomly go Super Saiyan 4 after he becomes an adult again poses some problems.

Provided Dragon Ball Super will return in 2026 with an official anime remake, the series will have to rewrite major parts Battle of the Gods story arc. IN Dragon Ball Z: Battle of GodsGoku specifically tells Beerus that Super Saiyan 3 is his absolute strongest form. Likewise, a rage-enhanced Vegeta only turns Super Saiyan 2 after Beerus slaps Bulma. These two events completely contradict each other Dragon Ball DAIMAA story where Goku and Vegeta both have access to their own Super Saiyan 4 and Super Saiyan 3 versions.

If a Dragon Ball Super remake releases Battle of the Gods will test whether DBS and Dragon Ball DAIMA are set in the same sequence. If Goku fights Beerus and only turns Super Saiyan 3, he confirms it Dragon Ball DAIMA actually takes place in an alternate sequel to Dragon Ball Super. That would mess up the series' timeline and potentially the slot quite a bit Dragon Ball Super to Dragon Ball GT levels being non-canon as Akira Toriyama only wrote the outlines Coolwhile he personally wrote Dragon Ball DAIMA alone.
