After a somewhat dry January for game releases, we're finally in February and business is picking up quickly. First up, Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined on February 5th, the latest entry in Square Enix's efforts to modernize and make the Dragon Quest franchise more accessible.
Reviews of DQ7 Reimagined have been released ahead of its release later this week, and things are looking good. Ryan Thompson-Bamsey of TheGamer gave the game a 4/5 in his review and holds the title at a respectable 83 on Metacritic.
Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined Review – Definitive improvement
A controversial classic that shines the best
Similarly, his trophies have also been released, and if you're planning to play DQ7 Reimagined later this week or later, Platinum seems surprisingly doable.
If you beat the game, you're already halfway through
On PSN Profiles, where the trophy list was published, DQ7 Reimagined's list contains a total of 61 trophies; 54 bronze, 5 silver, 1 gold and 1 shiny platinum.
It sounds like a lot, but 32 of these trophies are awarded for simply progressing through the game's story. If you manage to get 100 quick wins, you'll get another trophy, while winning 1,000 battles will bring another. As well as defeating 2000 monsters. Again, this should all pop up naturally just by going through the game.
If there are any pitfalls, it sounds like “Achieving maximum proficiency in all occupations” will take some work. Additionally, there is a trophy dedicated to “Discovering all Mini Medals”, which can be a pain, and one for “Collecting all available items”.
Fortunately, according to those who have played the game, it doesn't sound like there are any trophies missing.
“I can confirm that none of the trophies seem to be missable. However, I'm missing one to get all the items,” confirmed the user. Elsewhere, another user clocked his journey at around 66 hours and only had one trophy left.
Considering Dragon Quest 11's platinum run is about 90-100 hours of work, anything around 60 hours seems like an absolute godsend.

Highguard failing shouldn't matter that much
Highguard has become the main theme of the game's art, instead of just a generic shooter that isn't as good as Apex Legends.
