Luffy and the straw pirates are very close to fulfilling their dreams, and although enemies still stand in their way, the ending that Oda envisioned for the story is now near.

lately during Jump Festa 2026, Oda revealed some big news for fans of the storyand once again dropped an update on an ending that could very well be on the way. Fans dread the ending One pieceeven though it's such a long streak and they want it to continue as long as possible considering the world still has a lot to offer. Still, it has to end someday, and according to Oda, the day is approaching very quickly.

End One piece it's not that far, considering the fact that the story is already in the Final Saga. The Wano Country arc was what drove One Piece to the final saga. Before Wano even started, Oda made it clear to fans that at the end of the arc, fans will get a clearer picture of the truth about One Piece than ever before.. The Wano arc ended and more details about One Piece as well as the history of the world were revealed to fans. In conclusion, Wano finally kicked off the Final Saga and followed an arc that saw the Straw Hat Pirates head to Science Island, Egghead.
Egghead proved to be the gateway to the finale. While it was a pretty intense arc, it wasn't as big as Wano's, or even Dressrosa's or Arabasta's. Egghead was only an appetizer for what was to come, and Elbaf had already performed an incredible action. Elbaf is the first major arc in the Final Sagaand see Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates face off against the forces of the World Government itself. This arc is going to move forward in an absolutely massive way, and fans absolutely cannot wait for its eventual climax, which is set to follow immediately after the flashback ends.
That means it looks The Elbaf arc of One Piece will not continue for long. Od's message during Jump Fest confirmed to fans that he intends to end Elbaf in 2026and after this arc, One Piece will move into an even more exciting phase that most fans wouldn't even dare to imagine next year.
Oda confirms that the Final Arcs Of One Piece is starting soon
According to Oda's report, during Jump Fest 2026, One Piece will head into its very last stretch, as the straw pirates will finally sail towards the island that only the Pirate King has been to in the past. This comes as an absolute shock to most fans because as fans know, the main island that the Pirate King has visited in the past that no one else has visited is mostly known as Laugh Tale.
Now, since it's Jump Festa, let's talk about the original Jump manga!
After a long, long flashback – more like a deep dive into history – we return to the present, and just as your view of Elbaf began to shift… boom!! It ends with a big, grand finale. And from here things get really intense.

This is the island where One Piece is, and no other pirate in 800 years has been to this place before. It was on this island that Roger discovered the true history of the world. Now, Oda's words make Laugh Tale seem like the next arc of One Pieceafter the conclusion of Elbaf, and that is certainly huge. If Oda intends to start the Laugh Tale arc in 2026, then One Piece most likely doesn't have much left and will definitely end by 2030. However, there is another more likely possibility.

While Oda seemed to suggest that Laugh Tale is the arc that will follow Elbaf, the most likely answer is that fans will see the Straw Hat Pirates head to Lodestar Island, although it's only a briefly mentioned location. The Lodestar is where Roger reached when he followed his Log Pose to the very end. It's an island at the end of the Great Line, and it's where he learned all about Poneglyphs, as well as their true importance.
Roger arrived on the island 39 years ago and he plainly declared that he and his crew were the first who had ever reached that place where no one else had gone before. in other words straw pirates will most likely head to Lodestar Island after the Elbaf arc closes. It's too early for them to go Laugh Tale, not because they aren't ready for it, but simply because they don't have the last Road Poneglyph.

One Piece: 7 Arcs To Come After Elbaf
Elbaf is great, but there are even bigger arcs coming after him in One Piece.
The final Road Poneglyph is clearly associated with the Man with the Burn Scar and Oda himself revealed that the man with the burn scar won't be introduced until 2026, which means it most likely won't be Scopper Gaban.and will not appear in the Elbaf arc of One Piece.
Without the last Road Poneglyph and the encounter with the Man with the Burn Scar, the beginning of the Story of Laughter arc is impossible for Oda. If we put two and two together, it's clear the next arc of One Piece will be Lodestar. That said, even that would bring the story closer to the end.
If Lodestar Island really starts in 2026, it will most likely last for a year or two, which means that the final One Piece arc, the Laughter Story, could start in 2027 or maybe 2028 at the latest. This arc will certainly last for a few years as well, and One Piece will then end soon.
One Piece Manga could end in 2032
As things stand at the moment, One Piece will only have two or three more arcs. If Lodestar follows Elbaf and Laugh Tale follows Lodestar, then fans will most likely only get the Great War arc after that and then maybe an arc that ties up the loose ends in the epilogue. These three to four arcs will be decisive going forward.
Considering Oda's story pacing, then this is highly likely One Piece officially ends in 2032. That's still plenty of time for fans to digest the story, but it's important to remember that the end of this series is now fast approaching.
