Look, we all knew this was going to happen. Grand Theft Auto fans have been waiting so long for GTA 6 that it was inevitable that they would dissect every single frame of the trailers before the game was released. It doesn't help that GTA 6 keeps getting delayed, now it's ready with us this November – although that's not guaranteed either.
But now, in search of crumbs, fans have turned to Jason's shirt for clues about the game. Or, more accurately, the stain on the shirt he wears to pick Lucia up from jail. Is this evidence that supports the leak of the previous story? Is it just a bit of a mess? Or, as we're increasingly seeing, it's a sign that GTA 6 might have some too a lot of detail?
Sorry, we have to talk about Jason's dirty shirt in GTA 6
Okay, so first off, we have a theory that this dirty shirt actually has some narrative significance. The theory is that Jason and Lucia are not in a relationship since the beginning of the game. Instead, it is speculated that Jason does not know who he is picking up from prison when he is sent to pick up Lucia. I mean, if I was going to pick up my partner, I'd dress a hell of a lot nicer.
But there's another debate that was started by this shirt stain – is Rockstar's famous attention to detail the reason the game keeps getting delayed? Famously, the developers went to hell and back to get Red Dead Redemption 2 out the door (something that thankfully didn't hurt GTA 6 development, according to reports), but even that had a long gap between releases. Now that games keep getting bigger and bigger, GTA 6 took longer to get our hands on than any of us expected when GTA 5 dropped.
Whatever the case, it shows what fans are desperate for no details about this game, no matter how mundane. Honestly, just let it go in whatever unfinished state it is at this point. At least it would give us something other than shirt stains to talk about.
Right now, GTA 6 is set to launch on November 19th.
