Early game progression in Everwind mainly revolves around gathering raw materials to build the very first flying ship to set sail for new islands, both in the sea and in the sky.
The main problem is to find out what resources are needed for a successful takeoff, where to find them and how to use them to build the necessary structures. Here are the details.
Basic tools for the craft
The very first task in the new procedure is to create a basic set of tools:

The rocks and Sticks can be lifted off the ground and Ropes can be created in the inventory using thread which can be collected by collecting wild grass.
Craft weapons
At the start of the game, you can craft only one weapon: the Split Plank Edge, a one-handed sword.

Forest boards can be made using forest logs in the inventory, which are obtained by cutting down trees on the starting island with a stone axe. The conversion ratio is 1 log of forest wood = 3 planks of forest wood.
If you find a shield, be sure to equip it in the appropriate slot in your inventory, as this will unlock the ability to parry Everwindgreat ability to deal with enemies and bosses.
Collect resources in Everwind
Once you have a basic set of tools, you'll be able to use them to explore the island and gather its resources. The ones you should focus on are:
- Woodwood Logs: Use a stone ax to cut down any tree you see and collect Forestwood Logs, the very first wood-type resource available to you.
- The rocks: Use the stone pickaxe to break the building blocks of the tower where you first start your journey. This is the best source of stones, much better than just picking up loose stones from the ground.
- Fiber: Run across the island and press the Interact hotkey while facing wild patches of grass to obtain fiber, a basic resource needed to make rope, thread, and cloth.
- Water: Build a bucket through inventory and use it to collect water from the sea. Water is used for cooking.
- Meat: Hunt pheasants, capybaras and other animals on the island and collect meat that can be cooked. This will be your primary form of healing in the early game.
Build crafting stations in Everwind
There are three basic building stations in the inventory that players can build themselves: Crafting Station, Cooking Station and Block Station. The first two are crucial to progress, but you can leave the block station for later in the game.

Copper nails can be made in the inventory using copper ingots obtained by processing copper ore in the furnace. You can also get copper nails by breaking barrels and other types of furniture with a stone axe.
Build a flying ship in Everwind
Once you have your initial setup ready to go, get shipeither by creating one yourself or hacking the ship installation that is located right in front of the tower where you start the game.
Head to the edge of the island and place the ship in the water. Take the helm and use the boat to circle around the island until you come across a shipwreck, which triggers the game's first main mission: building a flying ship.
Explore the crashed flying ship and collect any piece of metal steamer parts you see and smash each glowing purple part of the ship with a pickaxe. The goal is basically to strip the ship of anything valuable.
Then return to your starting base and use the Crafting Station to craft the following items:
-
Cockpit
-
Power generator
-
Wooden engine
-
Wooden balloon
The resources you collected from the shipwreck should be enough to craft each of these items.
The next step is move everything valuable you found on the island to the newly built flying shipbecause soon you will be gone permanently. Smash every Crafting Station, collect everything in your inventory and collect anything of value.
Once everything is ready, head to the beach and put your boat in the water once more. Sail out to sea and you will see blue location markers on the sea abandoned flying ships you can complain.
Find an abandoned flying ship that you like and place it Cockpit stake your claim at the helm. Next, place Power generator, Wooden engineand Wooden balloon right next to each other so that they are connected as a whole.
Communicate with the wood engine and place some combustible items such as forest logs, planks or firewood into the input slot as fuel. Click Start and your ship will power up, finally ready to get out of the water and start flying.
Upgrade the flying ship in Everwind
The primary goal in EverwindThe first game is to visit and explore new islands, collect resources unique to those islands and use them to upgrade your flying ship, which is for all intents and purposes your only base operation in this game.
There are three categories in which you can upgrade your flying ship Everwind:
- Speed Upgrade: Increase the Ship's maximum speed.
- Upgrade Size: Increases the maximum size of the ship and the area where you can build.
- Altitude Upgrade: Increases the maximum limit of how high your ship can go.
Upgrade the ship by interacting with the flying ship core.
The elevation upgrade is by far the most important as it is the barrier that prevents players from visiting sky islands that are high up. The higher the island, the rarer resources you can collect from it.
