Astro Bot: Every Cameo level, rated
Astro Bot is a flood of PlayStation games, and some even get their own full levels.
From cute animal outfits to outfits based on beloved PlayStation IPs, Astro has plenty of ways to dress them up here, and most of them can be obtained simply by playing the gacha machine in the crash site – known as the game's hub. Let's talk about your options.
Updated on December 30, 2024, Lucas Olah: Christmas time is here and the Asobi team gave us an early gift in the form of a special free level themed around Christmas. There are several gifts in this level and they come with new robots to rescue as well as costumes for Astra and new colors for the DualSense speeder. Here we will focus on the new costumes and where they will be placed alongside the original ones from the game. We've got some really good ones here, so it's a fun challenge for us. Also, congratulations on Game of the Year, Astro Bot.

Cheeky monkey
Escape Bot
Based on Ape Escape, this costume is a great choice to go with all the other ape robots you can find and rescue in Apes on the Loose.
That said, this outfit unfortunately hides Astro's face and is too adorable to hide. The face here is pretty funny though.
23
Beef
Animal pack one
Not everything has to be based on a different IP, as you have some costumes that are just that: costumes. From the animal clothes, our first cow is.
While the beef outfit has funny head proportions, you can see Astro's face here, which is a plus.
22
Stealth
No one will see you coming
Going back to not having a face, this costume feels more like a power-up that could have played a role in the game than just another look.
The reflectivity is kind of fun, but you literally have no face here, not even a stupid mask that completely limits Astro's expressions.

Skelly
Drop dead gorgeous
Among all the skins that don't show Astro's face, this one stands out for its unique body design that shows what a dead Astro would look like.
If only it had armour, shield and sword; it could have been Daniel Fortesque's skin – aka the MediEvil guy. Still, it's already a great choice.

Gold
Imagination
Games can't skip gold skin. And it is what it is: the default costume, but all in gold.
The best thing about this costume is that it has a gold DualSense look that you can also dress up to match your Astro and controller.

Red panda
Animal pack two
We're back with the animals and this time we have a red panda in a costume that looks a lot cuter than the previous options.

8 Best Level in Astro Bot
Astro Bot has a lot of great levels, but these are the best.
His body proportions also fit Astro better, especially with how it's shaped around the face.
18
Teddy
Animal pack three
It's like the previous one, but better. It fits better and looks adorable. Who doesn't love teddy bear clothing?
If your main goal is to make Astro look as cute as possible, this costume is probably the best option you'll get, even though the others may look cooler.

Antlered adventurer
A red-nosed shoe
Christmas brought us the fourth animal costume, and it's the best one yet. You dress up as a reindeer, red nose and all.
Along with the cute factor, this costume is much more detailed compared to the other three, giving it a more distinctive feel to its design. Plus, it's perfect for playing the game during the holidays.
Sidekick is not included
Back to another IP, be ready to tear your enemies to shreds with this awesome galaxy based costume only best Lombax, Ratchet.
It's mainly based on his first appearance where he was just hanging around shirtless. Astro also hangs around shirtless so it fits.
15
Mushroom head
Be the funny guy
Why dress up as an iconic Last of Us character when you can become a cool zombie?
Based on the infected series, you wear a simple outfit with some spores on your head, making you look menacing. Or maybe just cute.
14
For the controller
The car is not included in the delivery
To make sure you're protected on your travels with DualSense, you can wear this fantastic outfit based on Gran Turismo, helmet and all.
The outfit itself is fairly simple, but the helmet that still allows you to see Astro makes it a unique design.
13
Festive colleague
Gifts are not included
Well, not much to explain here; it's a Santa Claus costume. It's just his regular outfit, with a cute beard and all.
What makes him stand out – aside from the Santa costume – is how detailed his design is with the triangle pattern throughout the costume, the robot reindeer symbol on the belt and the beard we mentioned before, but they make Astro look adorable. , so it's worth pointing out again.
12
Gravity Shifter
Defy gravity
From Gravity Rush, you can dress up as Kat, and while the gravity bending abilities aren't included, it's a fitting outfit for a platformer.
Unfortunately, Astro doesn't have many outfits based on the female leads, but this also stands out a bit. Plus, it's a great character choice.
11
Environmental warrior
Sidekick is also not included
While you're waiting for Jak 4 to never happen, you can at least jump around here dressed as Jak, which is also very fitting since he's also a platforming legend.
This skin is based on his very first game, as Jak changes his appearance quite a bit from game to game. This version is much lighter than the others, which suits the Astro.
10
Throwback
Very retro
Astro Bot pays a lot of homage to many older games through its references, but mostly through its old-school gameplay.
So it's very fitting that it has a low-poly outfit that also comes with PS1-inspired DualSense.
9
Original
Don't change perfection
You see, Astro has a great design on its own, without worrying about clothes. We all like the idea of using different skins and testing them out, but why not stick with the original design?
It's charming, has a great color scheme, will go with the basic DualSense – which also looks good – and you'll see it express its emotions and dance moves in all their glory.

Lyricist in love
You have to believe!
Another older Sony title that was sadly lost in the past is PaRappa the Rapper, a rhythm game where you follow commands while repeating them in a creative rhythm.
Lucky for us, PaRappa is a stylish character, so access to his wardrobe makes the Astra very stylish as well.
7
Ring-Tailed Thief
Still lost in time
While you're also waiting for Sly Cooper 5 to never happen, here you can also jump around dressed as another platforming legend, Sly.
The connection between Astro's face display and Sly's mask is a wonderful detail, and the outfit itself is very charming.
6
A roving intruder
Ready for a colossal task
Another classic from the past is Shadow of The Colossus, which is also referenced here among the many cameos – and they have three robots referencing them!
Along with the triple link, Wander also lends us his robes to roam the game with.
5
Horned protector
Iconic
Along with Wander, we also get Ica's outfit along with the iconic horns on Astro's head.
