Every main My Hero Academia villain, ranked from weakest to strongest

Society of Heroes v My Hero Academia she relies heavily on the existence of villains to attack and threaten her. As horrible as it sounds, there is a certain symbiosis between professional heroes and villains in most of the story of My Hero Academia. This gives the heroes a chance to shine, but also shows the worst of what some of these villains are capable of.

Deku and his Class 1-A classmates have encountered a lot of villains throughout the My Hero Academia narrative. Some are grunt level, but others are as tough as they come. Here is a sample rating of all the main antagonists in My Hero Academia.

Stain's power is not what set him apart from other antagonists in the series. Instead, it was his strong ideology that made him stand out, with his radical beliefs leading him to murder and injure various professional heroes who he believed were only after wealth and fame.

Stain's Bloodcurdle Quirk made him an incredibly dangerous foe for any hero unfortunate enough to cross his path. Being able to paralyze the target for a period of time, depending on their blood type, Stain was an effective killer that earned its terrifying name.

8

Re-Destro

He may not have become a formidable final villain like Shigaraki or All For One, but Re-Destro proved to be one of the most dangerous villains of the second half of the manga. Beneath his originally composed exterior, Re-Destro is a volatile maniac who doesn't shy away from killing those who stand in his way.

His twisted personality actually plays quite well with his quirk, with his stress quirk allowing him to store any kind of negative emotion such as fear, anger, and frustration and turn it into a power he can use in battle. This manifests in him having incredible strength and also leads to him forming into a monstrous form.

7

Mrs. Nagant

Lady Nagant definitely had one of the better villain characters in the series, fans saw her hit rock bottom and later rise again thanks to Deku's positive influence.

Her disillusionment with the Hero Society and its many problems led to her becoming a skilled weapon for hire, and while it may not sound impressive alongside her other powers in the series, Lady Nagant wielded her Quirk powers, making her an incredibly tough fighter.

6

Overhaul

Overhaul is definitely one of the most hated villains in the series, and his treatment of Eri has earned him a well-deserved bad reputation among fans. But you can't deny that he was a dangerous villain in his own right.

Overhaul's cruelty certainly plays a role in him being such a threat, but the real danger to him is his Overhaul Quirk. This ability allows him to take apart and reassemble anything he touches, making him one of the most formidable melee fighters in the anime and manga. The only way to bypass his powers was to destroy his arms, which Shigaraki and Mr. Compress managed to pull off.

5

Himiko Toga

Toga is a polarizing figure My Hero Academia. She gets a lot of exposure and ends up being one of the more fleshed out villains, which has led to many fans sympathizing with her plight. On the other hand, some fans don't see this as an excuse for some of the more heinous things she's done, like murder.

Although she didn't appear to be all that dangerous in battle at first, Toga gradually became more and more skilled at using her Transform Quirk, leading her to become a true force to be reckoned with during the Final War. Her Quirk not only let her copy people's appearance, but could also allow her to copy their Quirk in very specific cases, even if it cost her a lot physically.

4

Gigantomachy

Arguably the most physically imposing villain in the series, there weren't many heroes who could match Gigantomachy one-on-one and live to tell the tale. The giant villain was incredibly loyal to All For One, and this loyalty was later transferred to Shigarakin.

As one of All For One's most valuable assets, Gigantomachia was given several Quirks in addition to the one he was born with. Everything from superhuman stamina, pain blockers, heightened senses, and strength boosters made the Gigantomachy an absolute nightmare to deal with.

3

Dabi

Dabi is certainly a tragic figure, but like Toga, his actions are hard to defend. As the oldest Todoroki sibling, Dabi was caught up in his father's obsession to defeat All Might and become the #1 professional hero. When Dabi couldn't keep up with his father's expectations and Endeavor turned on Shoto, it broke young Toya and set him on a malevolent path.

Dabi's Blueflame Quirk ended up being stronger than his Father's Hellflame Quirk, with Dabi serving as one of the most dangerous and unpredictable villains in the series. It took the entire Todoroki family to get over him, marking a sad end to their unfortunate family drama.

2

All for one

The #1 Big Bad for most of the series, All For One is about as bad as it gets when it comes to villains in My Hero. Compared to most villains in the series, All For One is a relatively simple character whose ambitions to rule the world have kept him going for decades.

His All For One Quirk allows him to steal and transfer other people's Quirks and abilities, allowing him to amass an impressive supply of Quirks while surrounding himself with powerful allies. His vast arsenal of abilities, along with the threat of outright stealing someone's Quirk, made him the greatest threat the world had ever seen.

1

Shigaraki

All For One has ruined a lot of lives over the years. But you could argue that no one has been dealt as bad a hand as Shigaraki. The tragedies of his early life that shaped him and his taking under the wing of All For One were all orchestrated by All For One before he was even born. It's true for many villains in the series, but Shigaraki never had a chance to turn out differently than he did.

By the end of the series, Shigaraki had surpassed his master, his Decay Quirk working alongside All For One and other Quirks, making him a more volatile and tenacious threat than All For One was. In his final battle with Deku, Shigaraki displayed incredible destructive power and while fully utilizing One For All, Deku tried to take down the leader of the League of Villains.
