Every new event in Hitman's Season of Happiness explained

New Hitman World of Assassination The Road Map is out and it's called The Season of Luck by IO Interactive. The season runs from 13 January to 31 March 2025, and the plan lays out the planned actions for the next few months. It was designed with a golden dragon aesthetic to match the free mission that takes place on the Chongqing map and has Chinese dragon themed rewards.

This season brings back events from previous seasons to play with all the new goodies players have unlocked from other special events and DLC. There are also new items to unlock and new Valentine's Day-themed referral contracts.

Lee Hong Derivation Event

Take out the triad

Lee Hong's Derivation is a returning Escalation Contract that takes place on the Chonqing map from the End of an Era mission. It's a callback to a mission in one of the HitmanPrevious games The Lee Hong Assassination in Code name 47. Escalation takes advantage of one of the few truly sniper landscapes in World of Assassination, the rooftops that End of an Era players would have taken drones from had they taken this story opportunity.

Follows the usual escalation pattern. 47 is tasked with a relatively simple objective, but at each stage of escalation, things get more complicated. If the player fails, they go back to the beginning. Completing this mission unlocks the Black Dragon Outfit, the Golden Dragon Sniper Rifle, and the Chinese Briefcase. It was previously only available to players with the Deluxe Edition of the game, but will be available for free to those with the free base game between January 30 and February 27.

Returning elusive targets

Heartbreaker

This is the first of the returning stand-alone elusive targets that are returning in Season of Luck. The Heart Breaker is the code name for Philo Newcombe, a serial-killing wedding planner. Newcombe has a pattern of obsessing over a prospective bride or groom and killing their partner. He shows some of his clients Viñedo Yates on a map of Argentina and 47 has to take him down before he can kill again.

Philo Newcombe is available through the arcade right now, but returns as a separate elusive target from 14-23 February. His return is timed to coincide with Valentine's Day. Tip: Get an engaged couple at a safe distance by exposing their obsessive behavior.

Broker

The Broker is the code name for an antiquities collector named Howard Moxon who helps terrorist organizations. This mission takes place on the map of Paris, where Moxon is trying to steal Ivory White from a vault in Voltaire's suite.

47 must remove Howard Moxon and get Ivory White. Howard Moxon. It is currently available through the arcade, but is returning as a standalone elusive objective 14-23 February. Hint: Partially isolates himself to smoke near the statue in the courtyard, but watch out for that pesky guard at the barrier.

Repairman

Fixer is the code name for Xander Haverfoek, “Attaché at the Swedish Consulate in Marrakesh”. The next objective is to get the bag of diamonds he is trying to smuggle to the courier. The Fixer takes place on the Marrakesh map and is known for being one of the hardest elusive objectives ever released.

Xander Haverfoek is one of the few elusive targets not in arcade mode, so he's back Hitman is a great opportunity for players who missed it the first time. Fixer is available as a separate elusive target from February 28 to March 9.

Collector

The Collector is the code name for Kody Haynes, a murderous art collector with a possessive focus on his collection. He kills those who previously owned some of his artwork. This mission takes place in Dartmoor, with the painting he is trying to steal being in Alex's office.

47 also has the task of acquiring an image. If he does this before Haynes gets to it, the target will attack. The Collector is accessible through the arcade, but returns as a separate, elusive objective 7-16 march He's a unique character in World of Assassination because he can disguise himself to infiltrate a household, so be extra careful.

Forger

The Forger is the code name of Sergei Larin, an art forger who replaced real works of art with fakes. His wife, who owns a gallery that fell victim to these forgeries, hired the ICA to assassinate her husband.

Larin can be found on the map of Paris and can predictably be found in the museum director's office. The Forger is available through the arcade, but returns as a separate elusive target March 14th–23. Tip: The Sheikh Disguise will get players where they need to go.

4th grade

The elusive goal of repetition

Did you miss one of the targets the first time? IO will give players who have yet to pass or complete any Elusive Target mission a chance to catch up on any they missed. They will be available in two batches.

Year 4 Galore 1-12 is available from January 17 to February 2 and includes The Serial Killer and The Gunrunner. Year 4 Galore 12-25 is available from January 24 to February 9and includes The Entertainer and The Sensation.

Twitch Drops

Do you like purple a lot?

Hitman fans who link their IO account to their Twitch account can get discounts Hitman streamers who registered for the event. The condition is players “Watch a cumulative 1 hour HITMAN World of Assassination on Twitch between January 21 and January 30, 2025.”

Up for grabs is a Purple Streak Suit, an explosive Purple Streak Duck, a Purple Baseball Bat, and a Purple Streak Briefcase. The IOs are nothing but branding for the Twitch event, with 47 able to wear the iconic Twitch purple. Like most 47 outfits, they won't be for everyone. A white suit with a purple shirt and white tie is a bold look for someone in such a bloody job.

New items: Maneki-Hitman and Sky-High Voltage

Unlock some chaos

For those who love silly stylized explosive weapons Hitmanthe new edition arrives on January 30th. The Proximity Lucky Cat figurine can be unlocked as part of the Maneki-Hitman event, which is linked to the Ambrose Island map in the promotional material. At this stage it is a bit unclear what the event will be about.

On February 27, the Sky-High Voltage event begins, allowing players to unlock an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification Device)-triggered Taser. It appears to be obtained by completing two electric kills, with players having to “trigger a discussion with two objectives to unlock a new item”. This remote taser could be incredibly useful in casualty killing missions, depending on how it works.

Single and Ready to Ming

47 doesn't have much of a history with romance. Just look at his special relationship with Diana. This is a Valentine's Day-inspired list that adds a psychotic twist to a holiday famous for its saccharine romantic cheesiness. Contract themed collections are usually a lot of fun, due in no small part to the ludicrous justifications the creators give for why on earth this spoken-word killing is romantic.

“Single and Ready to Mingle” is a playlist designed by STREET SURG30N and features their contract “Sonko in Love at Night”. How much of a stretch will it be to call these contracts romantic? Only time will tell, the collection will be available on January 30, 2025.

Atmosphere of death

Death Atmosphere is a contract series curated by speedrunner Atmosphere. Not all player contracts are good, some of them are downright awful. For each ingenious new use of a Hitman level, there is a mission that can be solved by simple escape and gun. That's why such collections can be so useful.

There are hundreds of contracts that can be played and have a referral in place Hitman a player with extensive experience in exploiting the idiosyncrasies of the game will be interesting. This collection will be available from February 27.
