One of the biggest aspects of designing your island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is picking the ten villagers that will inhabit it. Of course, you can always accept whoever the game hands you, but more than likely, you’ll have a wishlist of villagers you’re patiently waiting to invite to be a permanent resident.

Each villager has their own personality, catchphrase, hobbies, and even a birthday that you can celebrate with them if you happen to be online that day. With over 400 options to choose from, there’s no doubt you can find ten villagers that will feel right at home on any island you create. For the sake of this article, all villagers will be broken down by species.
