Ghost of Yotei recently made headlines when publisher Sony abandoned its PC release strategy, which it pretty much confirms Ghost of Yotei it will only be available on PS5 consoles in the future, but that's not all. Ghost of YoteiLegends multiplayer launches on March 10th and will likely end around 9am PT/12pm ET.
The upcoming addition is a pretty big moment for the game, worth all the hype surrounding it. Ghost of YoteiLegends mode will probably work the same way Ghost of Tsushima: Legendswhich was very popular and well received as a free and high quality multiplayer expansion of the main game. It offered a different, supernatural and cooperative experience and Ghost of Yotei: Legends it runs backwards.
Ghost of Yotei Review: A Vengeful Samurai Epic That Outdoes Its Predecessor
Ghost of Yotei is a monumental open-world graphical powerhouse driven by intense combat and a gripping tale of revenge.
On the first day, everyone who dives will be able to play in four different classes Ghost of Yotei: Legends. There are Samurai, Archer, Mercenary and Shinobi who have Odachi, Spear, Dual Katana and Ksuarigama. To be clear, each class specializes in its associated weapon, but players will be able to take advantage of any on offer in the game. Players will want to spend some time with their chosen class, or between them if they're undecided, and narrow down on the best playstyle to take on whatever comes in the mode.

Ghost of Yotei's first foray will launch in April, and fans expect it to be on par with Ghost of Tsushima: Legends'raids.
-
When the Raid begins, players will face a dragon and Lord Sait. Raids will require 4 players.
In terms of core gameplay, players can enjoy the narrated story missions that end the Incursion, or they can complete the survival mode. In the latter, up to four players team up against waves of increasingly tough enemies across four different maps Ghost of Yotei: Legends. Players must fight for control over different areas and holding territory will bring blessings (buffs/boosts). If enemies regain an area, players may suffer a curse that weakens them. Each map has different blessings and curses.
Invasions are unlocked by completing three story missions and are large-scale missions for four players. Each Incursion is an assault on a fortress against one of the Yotei Six (minus Dragon and Lord Saito) and ends with a boss fight against a giant, supernatural version of a Spider, Oni, Kitsune, or Snake.
More Ghost of Yotei: Legends is on the horizon
Fans already know that raids will start in April, and this is a pretty clear indication that Sony and Sucker Punch want to support this multiplayer game mode Ghost of Yotei. Fans can probably expect him to get the same support as Ghost of Tsushima: Legendswhich received about a year and a half of support. Ghost of Tsushima: Legends was released in October 2020 and received support through the last patch in April 2022, which includes performance improvements, bug fixes, and most importantly free core content such as new modes and more.
In the end, it remains to be seen how well Legends update works but worth noting Ghost of Yotei was outselling Ghost of Tsushima according to Sony's latest update. Maybe it means Legends the community will already have a strong investment after its launch, but for now fans will have to wait and see.
