Not everything disappears with arrival World of Warcraft: Midnight Pre-expansion update, but many achievements and rewards will be unavailable soon.

However, the arrival of all this news also heralds the departure of many The war within rewards and milestones. Most notably, the Cutting Edge and Ahead of the Curve achievements obtained for defeating Dimensia, All Devouring on Heroic and Mythic will no longer be available as of January 20th. This means that Royal Voidwing from Heroic Dimensius will still be available until World of Warcraft: Midnightwill be released on March 2nd, and Mythic's Unbound Star-Eater will retain a higher drop chance until then, after which it will be heavily reduced.
Technically, the Mythic+ Leaderboards will close shortly before January 20th, as positions will be locked on January 19th at 10:00 PM PT, right before maintenance begins for the big pre-expansion update. This means that fans hoping to reach the top 0.1% of ratings that qualify for the title of “The Unbound Hero” will have to do so sooner. This seemingly means that other Mythic+ Season 3 achievements like Keystone Hero will also be removed, although there is a chance that some will still be available after the patch.
The war within Season 3 PvP content will also end at the same time. This means Astral Gladiator and Astral Legend Feats of Strength, Astral Gladiator's Fel Bat mount, PvP transmog sets, titles, and the Arcane Weapon enchantment illusion in World of Warcraft will be unavailable from this point on. However, players will still be able to get an Alliance or Horde themed Vicious Void Creeper mount until Midnight by playing ranked PvP modes.

Curiously, the blog announcing this information did not mention the status of Delves as of January 20th. World of Warcraft: The War Within Season 3's Delves also features several limited-time milestones, including Delver's Journey, Undercoin rewards, and the Nexus-Princess Ky'veza encounter. There's a good chance that skipping them means that these activities and rewards will remain available until March 2 – but it wouldn't hurt to try to complete them by January 20, too, just to be safe.
Either way, it makes sense World of Warcraft ends the period of Raid, Mythic+ dungeon and PvP Pre-Expansion updates. The changes to each specialization tree and the new Devourer Demon Hunter would throw off the balance enough by themselves, but World of Warcraft it also implements its fourth squish stat and third item level. This number crunch will undoubtedly cause some balancing issues, which could lead to some challenges being easier or harder than expected if they were still available.
