Fallout 4's next update is coming this month

Fallout 4 is gearing up to release another update for November, which promises a number of useful fixes to issues plaguing players. Bethesda recently celebrated its 10th anniversary Fallout 4and while it's definitely an important milestone worth celebrating, the post-apocalyptic RPG has been in a bit of a rut.

In honor Fallout 4anniversary, Bethesda recently released Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition. Both the new edition and the original version Fallout 4 give players access to Bethesda's Creation system, but unfortunately the 10th anniversary offering has given many players a headache. Issues with crashes and malfunctioning mods prompted a barrage of criticism from the company Fallout 4 community, but more fixes are on the way.

A renowned gaming insider confirms that the highly anticipated Fallout: New Vegas remaster is finally happening with surprisingly minimal fanfare.

The patch notes released by Bethesda cover a number of updates that are expected to address crashes and stability issues, content loading and saving issues, and improve the user interface, especially for Creations. A release date for the patch has not been specified, but it is expected to arrive in the next few days, as Bethesda recently mentioned that it will be ready the week of November 24th. While this patch aims to fix some of the game's issues, there is still more work to be done as Bethesda also revealed last week that there is an update plan for Fallout 4 Annual issue.

In the announcement, Bethesda also confirmed that more information regarding the next patch will arrive sometime in December. Problems that have arisen since then Fallout 4The 10th anniversary was quite significant and one of the biggest problems was s Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition specifically. Many who purchased this version of the game encountered a bug that caused the game to not recognize some Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition content as “owned” by the player, making access impossible.

It's been a controversial few weeks Fallout 4and while these fixes are promising, many fans remain frustrated with how the anniversary was handled. This isn't the only time a post-apocalyptic adventure has sparked controversy. As recently as last year, Fallout 4The next generation update broke a number of mods that didn't sit well with the community. The upcoming November and December patches will hopefully help and get the game back to where it was, but only time will tell.

Crash and stability fixes

  • Fixed a crash when launching a new game with Creations installed on PS4.

  • Fixed exit crash after leaving an interior with an open Pip-Boy (PS4/PS5).

  • Guests/local users no longer have access to the Creations menu, resulting in a broken feature.

  • Fixed rare crash when choosing to use save load order, especially when loading saves with missing creations.

  • Fixed a bug that could occur when selecting 'Buy Credits' on PC

  • Fixed crash when selecting “Download all owned Creation Club creations”

Save/Load and profile

  • Save exits are now correctly created when exiting the main menu.

  • Fixed endless loading when downloading missing Creation Club content from a save made on another platform.

  • Switching Xbox user profiles no longer results in lockups or loss of controls.

  • Fixed an issue where loading a save file with different creations enabled did not require a loading order warning.

  • Downloading a creation and immediately deactivating it will no longer permanently disable content that depends on it.

User interface and user experience

  • Performance improvements in the Creations menu across platforms.

  • Fixed blocking when repeatedly entering/exiting the Creations menu.

  • Fixed infinite loading/crashing when loading a save file that requires creations.

  • Bundle prices are now updated immediately after each item in the bundle is purchased.

  • Packages now display the correct file sizes for included creations.

  • Localization improvements.

  • The in-game Creatures menu now respects the loading order set by the player instead of alphabetical order.

  • Players can now like/dislike creations in the Load Order menu as intended.

  • Guests/local users no longer have access to the Creations menu; the option is now grayed out like on PS4.

  • Downloaded creations will now remain visible in your load command after being deleted from BethesdaNet.
