Fortnite players using Shuri's Black Panther Claws experience a critical bug that sends them skyward. Although the error appears to be completely random, Fortnite players are burning Epic Games because this is just the latest edition that has been present in the game since Chapter 5 Season 4 was released on August 16th.

Epic Games teams up with Marvel again for another superhero-themed season, Fortnite a number of new weapons and items have been added to the game that are straight out of a Marvel movie or comic book. From Captain America's Shield to Shuri's Black Panther Claws, Chapter 5 of Season 4, also known as Absolute Doom, completely shook up the game's meta. Unfortunately, many of the new ones Fortnite items have seen significant nerfs since the new content update first launched, just one of the many controversies that have cropped up throughout the season.


Along with constant nerfs and Dr. Doom, he's ridiculously overpowered Fortnite weapons, players now experience a frustrating bug that sends them skyward. On Reddit, one user posted a short clip of them using Shuri's Black Panther Claws and attempting to use the dash ability to jump forward. Unfortunately, as they activated the ability, they were teleported to the very top of the island. Luckily they didn't take any fall damage as they hurtled back to the island, but it knocked them out for over a minute.

The post clearly resonated with the community, as did other enthusiasts Fortnite players revealed that they encountered the exact same error. Reddit user GalickGunn said the same thing happened to them two weeks ago while playing with their son. They explained that there was only one team left, but when they used their dash ability, they shot them into the sky. Fortunately, their son was able to finish the job and claim a royal victory. Another user known as doomsoul909 reported that he encountered the error while doing the “claws only” challenge.


It's not the first time Fortnite players have experienced a bug with the Marvel weapon, and it likely won't be the last. While there's no way to know for sure what's causing this frustrating error, one Reddit user speculated that the problem is related to server desynchronization. They explained that the server probably couldn't determine the exact position of the players in time, so the location defaults to 0, which is where the battle bus appears at the start of the game.
