How Epic Games Updated Fortnite over the years, new cosmetic options like Back Blings, Contrails, and playable festival tools have been introduced. The latest addition is a pair of Air Jordan 1 High OG “Black Toe Reimagined” featured in Dynamo Tntin's Battle Pass. This cosmetic type was talked about even before it was added to the game, causing the community to speculate about what else might be coming in the future. A growing list of customization options allows players to have tons of cosmetics that are unique to them. One rumored customization option that may have been teased in the latest season trailer could include cars.

Known Fortnite leaker HypeX recently shared two screenshots highlighting underglow as a potential cosmetic option in a future update. One screenshot focuses on Snoop Dogg's Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix point of interest, the Doggpound and the cars parked at its entrance. There are many impressive cars to choose from, each of which seemingly has classic neon-like backlighting Need For Speed games. The second picture shows a Fortnite A Lightning McQueen trailer showing the vehicles from the Pixar movie Carseach with their own underworld. If these images are any indication of any new cosmetic options coming into play, it may be backlit specifically for the vehicles.
Fortnite could get a new type of car cosmetics
Since this rumor focuses on images from official videos, there may be some validity to the claim. It is unclear if the cosmetic backlight would be a single item that has different colors or if each color is exclusive to the pack. Snoop Dogg was introduced Fortnite with the Cadillac bundle, but the possibility of backlighting is significantly missing. In addition to the underworld potentially approaching cars, Chapter 2 Remix reintroduced classic vehicles such as semi-trailers and standard trucks. If these were introduced to Battle Royale more widely, players could get cosmetics for these trucks in addition to the sports cars, opening the door for even more customization options.
With the continued update of Epic Games Fortnitemore car cosmetics may be introduced in the future. Since Epic Games introduced the concept of underglow in its cinematics, it may only be a matter of time before players pick it up for themselves. While the car lighting is still only a rumor, it could be useful for players who like to customize their in-game car model.
