Fortnite reveals what happened to alleged Jeffrey Epstein account

Epic Games released an official statement regarding the recently discovered Fortnite An account believed to belong to sex offender, rapist and trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. The latest batch of Epstein Files revealed an alleged purchase of V-Bucks, leading some internet personalities and users to believe that “littlestjeff1” was an account belonging to Epstein. He said Fortnite the account includes activity as far back as 2025, years after Epstein's death in federal custody.

Of course, the focus of the Epstein files should be justice for the victims and accountability for any co-conspirators, accomplices or otherwise unwitting persons. That hasn't stopped any online discussion of everything Epstein was involved in outside of his convicted crimes. The Epstein files contained several references to the gaming industry, including the permanent suspension of Xbox Live. While many initially believed it was due to “harassment, threats, and/or abuse,” as the email states, there are reports that it was due to an agreement between Microsoft and the New York State Attorney General to ban all registered sex offenders from Xbox Live.

With the release of the recent files, readers not only discovered that Epstein had purchased V-bucks in the past, but also believed that his username Fortnite was “littlestjeff1.” Said profile reached Silver Rank 1 in Chapter 5 Season 1, which ran from December 2023 to March 2024, and played a total of 75 matches in 2025. This has led to pseudo-serious conversations about whether Jeffrey Epstein is still alive or not, to the point of downplaying his serious crimes. Others believed it might have been some kind of fake, which has now been confirmed by Epic Games.

Confirming that this is a “Fortnite player cheat,” the service update channel responded to a post about the account. It turns out that “a few days ago” – presumably when it was discovered in the Epstein Files – the player changed his username from “something completely unrelated” to “littlestjeff1”. It also explained that the trackers used to determine that this account was still active only show current display names, not previous changes. It then emerged that there were no records of Epstein's email addresses that related to public documents in Epic's system of accounts.

Finally, he noted that several Fortnite accounts with similar-looking email addresses and usernames had been created in recent days. It is unclear if Epic Games is taking action to penalize and/or remove these accounts.
