Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora's Player Count is rising fast
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora saw a large increase in player numbers on Steam, with the game more than quadrupling its previous highs. Popular SteamDB show aggregator Borders of Pandora boasts a current all-time high of 12,496 players, with game graphs showing numbers rising throughout December. While 12,000 may not be the most impressive number, Borders of PandoraThe December peak is a significant jump from the previous player peak, registering just over 2,600 players. Many fans attribute the game's recent success to a combination of factors, largely stemming from the release of the latest Avatar movie and new update Borders of Pandora at the beginning of December.
Borders of Pandora received one of its biggest updates to date in early December, coinciding with the release Avatar: Fire and Ashes. The “From the Ashes” expansion introduced brand new story content to the game, with the new update placed in the timeline just a few weeks after the new movie. Developer Massive Entertainment also added a new third-person mode to the game in December, allowing fans to return to the first-person perspective for the first time since the game's release. Borders of Pandora it even added a New Game+ mode where players can keep their inventory and skills as part of enhanced gameplay.
The Avatar franchise is far from over
Startup Borders of Pandora extension and Fire and ashes comes as the franchise has much more to come.
