Genshin Impact features an efficient way to create character materials, a custom artifact filter, and the ability to skip the first two floors of the Spiral Abyss in version 5.1. Since Fontaine's era, Genshin Impact was looking for ways to improve the gaming experience for players beyond just adding new features. These quality of life changes have breathed new life into the game and have been met with enthusiastic praise from the community.
In version 5.0, players were allowed to create their own artifacts Genshin Impact drastically reducing the game's most infamous grind for the first time. However, having the right set of artifacts is only one quarter of the equation when building a Genshin Impact characters as players are also expected to upgrade their talent, advance their rank and equip them with the right weapon. While weapon development is its own thing Genshin ImpactVersion 5.1 will specifically address character development.
As seen in the official HoYoverse blog post, using the Alchemy Table Genshin ImpactVersion 5.1 will allow players to select any character they own to act as a filter and only display materials relevant to that particular character's development. This filter extends to the currently equipped weapon and even includes a built-in calculator. The calculator comes with a display that shows the number of materials needed as well as the number currently owned by the player. In addition to the display, the system can also automatically produce the required materials, further optimizing the experience of building characters in Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact players will be able to skip the floors of Spiral Abyss
The most compelling part of these new quality of life changes is undoubtedly the ability to skip the first two levels of the Spiral Abyss of the year Genshin Impact. Instead of having to do floors 9 and 10, Genshin Impact players who got all nine stars on floor 12 in the previous cycle can start from floor 11. Conversely, players who got all nine stars on floor 11 can start from floor 10. Most importantly, skipping still rewards players with the intended Spiral Abyss rewards .
Another notable feature coming in version 5.1 is the introduction of custom artifact filters for each individual Genshin Impact character. These permanent artifact filters can be set and reset manually, making it easier for players to determine which artifacts are most useful for the character they're currently building. Similar to the old system, filters sort the player's inventory based on desired attributes such as Crit Rate or Elemental Mastery.
