Sucker Punch presents a preview of the upcoming patch for Ghost of Yoteiadding new content to the game, including the highly anticipated New Game + mode. The successful game continues to evolve and grow, much like its predecessor Ghost of YoteiThe biggest jump will happen sometime in 2026.
After its release in early October Ghost of Yotei was a success for Sony and Sucker Punch. The game hasn't changed all that much since launch, receiving a few updates here and there to fix remaining issues and bugs, but with the development team now stabilizing the experience, work has seemingly begun on the first stages of post-launch content. In fact, fans won't have to wait too long to see new content and added features Ghost of Yotei.

Ghost of Yotei creative director Jason Connell revealed one feature that was scaled back before launch, but it ended up being the right decision.
Ghost of Yotei adds a new Plus game and more on November 24th
In a new blog post, Sucker Punch Senior Communications Manager Andrew Goldfarb revealed that the new update for Ghost of Yotei is on the way. On November 24th, players will be able to download the latest patch which finally includes New Game Plus. Similar to New Game Plus in other popular games, Ghost of Yotei unlocks this option after completing the main campaign, adds two new difficulty options and two additional trophies to unlock while allowing players to keep their existing gear.
There are also several rewards for logging in to play more. A new currency called Ghost Flowers can be exchanged at a special vendor to unlock 10 brand new spells and over 30 bonus cosmetics, including dyes and armor sets, to complement the already extensive gear in Ghost of Yotei. In addition, a new level of upgrades will be unlocked for existing armor and weapon sets, allowing players to become even more powerful.
In addition to New Game Plus, the update also adds a number of features, including a stats screen and the ability to replay post-game content. Ghost of YoteiPhoto mode has new settings to play with, including shutter speed, composition grid, and other filters. Finally, more accessibility options are being added, such as the ability to remap the directional buttons.
The post ends with another tease for the year 2026, when Ghost of Yotei adds its Legends multiplayer mode. Unfortunately, no further details have been provided, but players already have a general idea of what to expect from it. The fan-favorite mode returns as a free update, adding 2 co-op missions and 4 survival-style missions where players will play demonic versions of Yotei Six. As expected, players will have several classes to choose from for these missions, although details on who or what they are have yet to be fully revealed.
