Fans are anticipating the return of Gojo Satoru
Gojo Satoru has become a global anime icon over the past few years, and it's pretty easy to see that he's a beloved character that fans love to see on screen. That is why his absence hurts the fans much more. In JJK Season 2, specifically during the Shibuya incident, Gojo Satoru was sealed by Kenjaku through the Prison Realm.
Since then, all the other characters have taken care of themselves without humanity being the strongest. but now JJK season 3 is coming up and this could probably be where Gojo breaks free.

At Anime Pasadena 2025, Gojo's English VA Kaiji Tang was asked about his most anticipated moment from the series.and while trying to avoid any spoilers, definitely hinted that Gojo will be back in JJK season 3. Kaiji Tang stated that he had been waiting for this moment for years and could only really speak of Goya's unsealing.
“There's not much I can say without giving it away. But I'll just say this: I've been waiting years for this moment.”

Season 3 ends on Gojo's Unsealing, setting up the main battle to come
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 is the most anticipated season from the entire franchise so far. This season will kick off the Culling Game arc, and based on everything we've seen so far, it's sure to feature the unsealing of Satoru Gojo that fans have been eagerly waiting for.
However, fans should not expect Gojo's unsealing at the start of the season. This massive event will be coming to an end, probably during the last episode of the season, which means it will happen on the second court or JJK Season 3.
Unsealing Gojo would be the best point to end the season and set up huge things for the franchise. A big battle would then take place with Gojo unsealed, and fans know there will be a clash of the strongest. Gojo vs Sukuna would then be ready for a perfect film adaptation. All fans have to do is wait.

A sequel to Jujutsu Kaisen, called Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, runs in Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine. The series takes place 68 years in the future, after the events of the Shinjuku Showdown. The main characters of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo are Yuka and Tsurugi Okkotsu, the grandsons of Yuta and Maki. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 17 will be released on January 4, 2026. The chapter release time is midnight JST or 11:00am ET (8:00am PT). Fans can read the chapter for free on Manga Plus and the Shonen Jump app.
