The Silent Cartographer is not only one of the best Halo levels of all time, but it's definitely up there for one of the best first person shooter levels ever designed. Beach Assault on Halo is an absolutely unforgettable mission from start to finish, featuring stunning vistas, tight combat sequences, vehicles, and some of the best music this side of gaming has ever produced.
Simply put, it's a masterpiece — one that every player should experience at least once to better understand its impact and importance.
That said, for a mission as iconic as The SIlent Cartographer, this is a fairly routine level from a combat standpoint. Of course, if you happen to be playing on Legendary, then you will definitely have a hard time. But what about being completely blindfolded?
Well, that's the challenge one streamer tried to see for themselves, and after a lot of trial and error, they were able to complete the mission without any peeps.
Blind cartographer
The content creator, Kelly Madden AKA KMaddify, struggled to complete various segments of Halo without using the eyes. With an all-black mask that covers everything but the nose and mouth, they were able to complete the Silent Cartographer after three days of trying.
According to the streamer, this is the first-ever completion of the iconic level completely blindfolded. It only took them three hours, but they did it, as this Twitch clip proves.

Very impressive, right? It's also not the first level they've tried blindfolded, as earlier this year they managed to beat Pillar of Autumn, which is Halo's first level.
And they're not done yet either. Earlier Friday, they hopped back into the stream to review the footage and see where they could shave time. The hope is to shave off at least two hours, which would be just as impressive. Streamers like KMaddify never fail to impress with their performances. Hopefully, they will be able to accomplish their goal of a full blown Halo: Combat Evolved run blindfolded.
