Hashirama Senju was the first Hokage and certainly one of the most famous ninjas in the world. Known as the God of Shinobi, Hashirama changed the ninja world forever during his era and established a world order that continues to this day.
Hashirama has accomplished many great things in his ninja life, and while his list of accomplishments is incredibly exhaustive, there are a few that stand out much more than others.

Defeat Kakuza
Hashirama Senju fought against Kakuzu, who later joined the Akatsuki at one point in the story. Although this battle was not explicitly shown to fans, it was clear that Kakuzu barely escaped alive. Defeating someone like Kakuzu, who Kakashi fought against, is certainly impressive. However, for a Shinobi of Hashirama's caliber, this had to be one of the easiest battles he had ever fought.
Still, the fact that Hashirama was unable to kill him meant that the battle might be a bit more difficult than fans might have anticipated. This makes it one of his most impressive feats.

He became the leader of the Senju clan
Hashirama became the leader of the Senju clan at a very young age. After fighting the Uchiha on numerous occasions, Hashirama eventually rose to the top and did so to usher in an era of peace.
Hashirama, despite fighting the Uchiha, didn't want to spill more blood, especially children's blood. Despite his ideologies, climbing to the top through sheer strength and endurance is quite an achievement.

A subdued Kurama
In his battle against Madara Uchiha, Hashirama was actually up against two powerful enemies. One of them was Madara himself and the other was Kurama. It was a great battle and Hashirama actually knocked out Kurama very early in it.
After breaking the Madarsky Susanoo, Hashirama used the power of his Wood Release to subdue the Nine-Tails and break free from the Uchiha's control. This beast was later sealed in Mito Uzumaki, his wife. Subduing a tailed beast as powerful as Kurama is certainly quite an achievement.

Defeat Madara Uchiha
Hashirama and Madara fought many battles and it's safe to say that they were all incredibly close. In their final battle, the most iconic of all, he eventually came out on top of Hashirama.
In terms of strength, there wasn't much difference between the two and Hashirama was only able to knock down Madara because he didn't expect to be hit in the back. Still, the winner of the battle was Hashirama, and that goes without saying.

He became the first Hokage
After the founding of Konoha, Hashirama eventually became the first Hokage of the village. Becoming the very first leader of this wonderful village is certainly quite an achievement and he has had his name written in the history books for it.
In reality though, Hashirama becoming Hokage caused all sorts of problems. Madara and Hashirama had internal problems because of this, and the former even quarreled with his fellow Uchiha. This eventually led to Madara leaving the village and attacking it later down the line, giving rise to their final battle at the Valley of the End.

He laid the foundation for Ninja Village
Hashirama Senju was responsible for the creation of Konohaalong with Madara Uchiha, and while this is a great achievement in itself, an even greater achievement is the fact that his creation of Konoha spawned Shinobi villages in various countries. They were all inspired by Konoha and Land of Fire and built their villages after that pattern.

Basically, if it wasn't for Hashirama, the shinobi village in the world Naruto would not exist now. This is one of the biggest achievements, if not the biggest, that Hashirama Senju can be very proud of. Without him, the ninja world would be completely different right now.

He created Konoha with Madara
Undoubtedly, Hashirama's greatest achievement is the creation of Konohawhich is the most important municipality in the whole Naruto. Ever since Hashirama and Madara were children, they had dreamed of creating a land of peace where children would not have to fight to the death and shed blood. Although this dream was once naive, the fact that they had become immensely powerful actually allowed them to achieve this.
Eventually, after settling their differences, Hashirama and Madara united to form Konoha. The name for this village was chosen by Madara, but Hashirama was equally instrumental. Knowing the importance of this village in the series, fans can easily understand why it was his greatest achievement in his entire life.
