Here's how to find all Legendary and Mythical Pokémon in Legends: ZA

Pokemon Legends: ZAThe Mega Dimension DLC reintroduces an incredible total of 9 Legendary Pokemon and 11 Mythical Pokemon, and you can catch them all instantly. Pokemon Legends: ZA he had 230 Pokemon in his base game Pokedex, including all the creatures of the Kalos region as well as a few other pocket monsters. However, there was only one Gen 7 Pokémon and one Gen 8 Pokémon in the form of Drampa and Falinks, respectively, with no Gen 9 creatures present.

Pokemon Legends: ZA players can now claim some new items via Mystery Gift, which may come in handy once the Mega Dimension DLC launches.

Here's How to Get All Legendary and Mythical Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: ZA Mega Dimension DLC (and Shinys too)

Returning Pokemon inside Pokemon Legends: ZA's DLC includes various Legendary and Mythicals. The following list contains all the returning Legendary and Mythical Pokemon and how to get them:

  • Legendary:

    • Heatran: Go through the Mega Dimension DLC story and create a 3-star or 4-star Donut to access Hyperspace Lumiose. Then fight the Mega Heatran and capture it.
    • Groudon: Go through the Mega Dimension DLC story and craft an Omega Old-Fashioned Donut to unlock the battle against Primal Groudon.
    • Kyogre: Go through the Mega Dimension DLC story and create an Alpha Old-Fashioned Donut to unlock the battle against Primal Kyogre.
    • Rayquaza: Go through the Mega Dimension DLC story and craft an old-fashioned Delta Donut to unlock the battle against Mega Rayquaza.
    • Latias: Through special scanning.
    • Latios: Through special scanning.
    • Virizion: Through special scanning.
    • Terrakion: Through special scanning.
    • Cobalion: Through special scanning.
  • Mythical:

    • Darkrai: Go through the Mega Dimension DLC story and do the Bad Dreams Cruller Donut to unlock the battle against Mega Darkrai.
    • Genesct: Get Side Mission 191: Collecting Four Drives from a shady man selling new TM v Pokemon Legends: ZAwhich will require you to buy four drives from him for Mega Shards. Drive, Douse, Shock, Burn and Chill each cost 540 Mega Shards. Then follow the quest instructions to find Genesect, fight him and capture him.
    • Marshadow: Get Side Mission 192: The Stealthy Shadow from Gardie, located in Jaune Sector 11, then head to the Battle Courtyard near Wild Zone 20 late that day. When the shadow from the tower hits the center of the courtyard, a Poke Ball, Marshadow, will appear for you to fight and capture. It is worth noting that the shadow of the tower reaches the courtyard around dusk and you will need sunny weather or the tower will not cast its shadow.
    • Meltan and Melmetal: Get Side Mission 193: Dreams of Meltan in Rouge Sector 1, then fight and capture Meltan. A hyperspace area will appear and you need a donut to access it. Once inside, follow the quest instructions to get the Melmetal.
    • Volcanion: Get Side Mission 194: Volcanion Unleashed in Mable's lab and follow the mission steps. This will cause Volcanion to appear so you can fight him and capture him.
    • Magearna: Get Side Mission 195: Restarting Magearna from Jett at Quasartico. Collect 999 Mega Shards and talk to Jett again, who will give you both Magearna and Mega Magearna's Mega Stone.
    • Whoops: Get Side Mission 196: The Djinn Unbound from Taunie/Urbain at Hotel Z. Follow each quest to enter Hyperspace Lumiose with a 4-star or 5-star Donut, then fight and defeat Hoopa Unbound to unlock the Pokemon.
    • Zeraora: Buy Canari Bread from Terragon at Racine Construction, then find the kid on the rooftops of Vert Sector 3. Trade his Canari Bread for Popping Candy, then go to Hotel Z and talk to Ansha. You need to bake a Plasma-Glazed Donut for Zeraora, then Emma will call and give you Side Mission EX3: Raging Lightning. Follow the quest steps to defeat Mega Zeraora and capture her.
    • Keldeo: Through special scanning.
    • Meloetta: Through special scanning.

The special scans needed to obtain some legendary and mythic Pokemon will only be available after beating the story DLC. At this point, you will receive additional exploration tasks to complete, and once you have 25,000 points or more, you can return to Corbeau and Philippe. Here, Philippe will give you the option to run a special scan that will open a new portal Pokemon Legends: ZA's Hyperspace Lumiose.

This portal may contain one of the exclusive legendary or mythic pokemon, but it is random and a rare occurrence. This means that it will take some time to find all the Legendary and Mythical Pokemon Legends: Z-Answer, but it can be done right now without limited time content.

Additionally, for those looking for shiny pets, the following legendary Pokemon can be shiny:

  • Latias

  • Latios

  • Virizion

  • Terrakion

  • Cobalion

Although Keldeo and Meloetta are exclusive to special scans, they are shiny locked in Pokemon Legends: ZA.

There are shiny new hunting methods Pokemon Legends: ZA's DLC as well, so you can use them to increase the chances of these critters glowing. More importantly, you can save before the portal, and if you find one that isn't shiny in the special scan portals, there's a fix. You can close the game, restart it, and on the title screen, press the up arrow key, X, and B at the same time to load the previous hard save in the game, skipping all subsequent autosaves.
