Called Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios, which is the Japanese name for Like a Dragon series (which is a literal translation of Like A Dragon), it can be hard to imagine the studio as anything other than a developer of Like A Dragon games. There are so many games released in such a short period of time that the studio certainly has no time for anything else.

Except that would be a completely incorrect assumption. RGG Studio has created a huge number of games, currently and in the past among all Like A Dragon games. It's really incredible how many games have done this. So let's take a look at all of them, including the ones other than Like A Dragon.
How many non-dragon games have RGG Studio made?
While the studio is now known as RGG Studio, it has gone through various names despite having most of the same staff. Some of these names include Amusement Vision, New Entertainment and several others before finally settling down at the Ryu Ga Gotoku studio around 2011. This has obscured much of the work the studio has done, but we're here to clear it all up.
In addition to the Like A Dragon series, from its earliest game in 1998 to the time of this article, RGG Studio has developed a total of 21 games other than Like A Dragon. And while Like A Dragon games still make up the vast majority of studio-developed titles, it's a much larger portion than you probably realized.
Even though the Judgment games don't have the 'Like A Dragon' moniker, they are
still classified as part of the series itself.
After all, RGG Studio has worked on some pretty well-respected series, for example as their creators Super Monkey Ball, Binary DomainFist of the North Star: Lost Paradise, Daytona USA, and Virtua Fighter 5. Sure, they weren't the best games ever made, but it's incredible that the studio found the time to work on anything other than Like A Dragon.
How many games did RGG make in total?
We now know how many games RGG has made that aren't from the LIke A Dragon series, although there's no denying that the series that makes the studio's namesake is incredibly invaluable to it. In total, RGG Studio produced approximately 48 gamesincluding remakes and remasters. That means 27 of these games are part of the Like A Dragon seriesmore than any other game they've worked on.
They traced their origins as a studio to 1998 with the release of SpikeOut an average of two games a year. Except the scariest part is that the average is fairly accurate. In 2021 alone, Judgment remaster, its sequel Lost Judgment, Virtua Fighter 5 and Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania were released.
They are an obscenely impressive study, not only in their workflow, but also in their diversity. With the Like A Dragon series, the battle system and environment have changed, the possibilities are endless for what RGG Studio can do in the future. And indeed, he seems to have a plan to achieve whatever he wants.
