Where to find seashells in Heartopia
Shells can only be found in Suburban lakes. These lakes are located along the road that separates the homesteads from the city center. You won't find mussels in rivers, even if rivers connect directly to lakes.
Second, there are mussels very demanding on the weather. They only appear during rain, snow or rainbow weather. Sunny days, cloudy weather, or meteor showers will not spawn mussels. Rainbows in Heartopia occur quite frequently, making them the most reliable time to fish for clams. If the weather is not rainy or there is no rainbow, save the bait and wait until it ends.
Mussels can spawn at any time of the day, but are much easier to catch at or after sunset. For the best chances of finding clams, head to the Suburban Lakes as sunset approaches and start fishing as soon as the rain or rainbow hits.
How to catch seashells in Heartopia
Catching clams uses standard fishing mechanics Heartopia. Once the right conditions are met, equip your fishing rod and cast your line into the waters. Watch your line as you reel. As the voltage increases, the line changes color from white to yellow to red.
You can use items like Mermaid Attractor and Mermaid Perfume to increase your chances of catching a shell. The Mermaid Attractor increases the number of fish spawning in the area and gives the mussels more opportunities to spawn. On the other hand, Mermaid Perfume reduces how often the line tension needs to be adjusted, making longer fishing sessions much easier. Both items can be purchased from Vanya.
Since mussels are quite rare, it's normal to catch a few more fish before one finally appears, so don't give up. It often takes 10-15 catches before you finally reel in a mussel.
