How to make a water source in Pokopia

There are two ways create a source of water Popopia:

  • Use the Suck ability to inhale water

  • Use the drink to fill your Ditto with water

You get the Suck ability from the Paldean Wooper in the Bleak Beach area (spawning from Swampy Tall Grass), but you can only learn Suck after Piplup gives you the “Make a Waterfall” request – and Piplup will only do that after you complete the main story in Bleak Beach by awakening Mosslax.

Potions are a much easier way to create a water source early on Popopiabecause you can get them from slots daily, as a random item in the wild, or from the PC shop (usually from daily items). Your Pokémon might even hand you a drink or two to say thanks for being their best friend.

Once Ditto's belly is full of water from using Suck or drink, just travel to the location you want to store it. press A to move the water source inside Popopia. Make sure you spit the water in an enclosed space so it doesn't overflow and go everywhere.

The only time you don't want to spit water into an enclosed space is when creating waterfalls, as you need to leave a gap between the cliff for the water to flow down.

How to remove a water source in Pokopia

Removal of water source v Popopia is as easy as pressing the B button will “Slurp” the water after you have used the Suck ability in the water surface. Continue like this until all the water is gone to completely remove the water source. Just make sure there aren't any gaps in the surrounding blocks leading to water, or you'll end up with more water once you remove it.
